Hopefully the council staff who get free away tickets and regularly sell them on here instead of going no longer get any 🤔

You know what has been absolutely mental.

Recently near me there have been FLOODS of people with hospitality lanyards sitting in the West Stand. Not in hospitality. Have they been giving them away?

Waiting to hear on membership news.. no doubt you’ll need one.. great info thanks. Think there is about 7 I need to do but they are all treks, nearest Rotherham, furthest Sunderland..

Where’s everyone else’s nearest and furthest they need to do?

Swansea nearest, Sunderland furthest for me. Done Argyle, Bristol C, Cardiff and Southampton.

What’s the situation with buying tickets and ID checks etc.

You will be able to buy them in person with a valid blue hard brexit passport and upon the fully detailed analysis of a stool sample which the body cam wearing fun police will return to you on entry to the stadium having passed through a airport style full body scanner to check you haven't used your free colon space to smuggle in a open bottle of water.

I went to Leeds with Forest the season they got promoted and I’m pretty sure it was £42.  The match was on Sky as well.

Leeds are a disgrace. I stopped going to their place last time we were in the Championship because they started charging £36 I think it was.

Nice work, is there not room for a bit more at Preston? Sunderland got 5k last game of the season or is that only for one off games

Preston usually offer the full stand for teams bringing good away followings, however for some games they split the stand and open it up to home fans.

Was not going to bother, was really pissed off not just with relegation but the whole mobile ticketing thing too and the fighting in the stands between home supporters I've not seen down there before but in a moment of madness I've renewed for at least  one more season,  Christ, what have I done:colder: could have bought a new cooker instead

Still never sold out an away end here. Most they've ever bought is just over 2k.

Their away support may have gotten better who knows. I know they recently took 5k to Barnsley but then again they were getting promoted.

I think they've got a buzz about them that they've not had in a good 20 years. I think if they came here on a Saturday they might well fill it.

Interesting Dan. I hope so. Other than the 7 I mentioned I can't see many selling the away end out.

Leeds, Sheff Weds and Coventry are your bankers. I think the likes of Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Ipswich, Norwich, Birmingham and West Brom may do in the right circumstances. I think we'll be a relatively popular trip. I wonder what somebody like Rotherham would bring, they've not played away here since about 2005, it's not too far away and I do think away support has grown in this country in the last 5/10 years. This will be a good test to see if that theory is true.

I think we'll travel well still. I think our crowds declining will be gradual the longer we're in this league. I might get laughed at for this but I think we'll still average 30k this season.

I think home attendances will be high for the first 10 games into the season, then it will either pick up or drop off slightly towards the end depending on results.. aways I think will sell out many of them..

It’s easy to be critical of clubs and ticket prices but you have to remember they don’t have a PL TV deal and gate receipts for some are highly likely to main sources of income. Leeds deserve the criticism they get charging £42 for an away day which is borderline dangerous but clubs likely Rotherham need to cash in on clubs like ourselves to function

How is it more expensive in the championship? That’s nuts. Liverpool and Man City away were cheaper😂

No price cap.

Yeah likewise, plenty of them are circumstantial really. Ipswich on the first day of the season could bring 3,300 here. Make it midweek in February with them in midtable you're looking at half of that maximum.

Funnily enough their prices seem the cheapest (I know it's just an example)

I've done some quick research today on Ticket Prices for Championship teams and rough allocation we'd likely get. I thought back to our previous campaigns in the Championship where we were getting charged north of £40 for the likes of Ipswich, Leeds and Sheff Wednesday. I've done the below on average then highest prices for last season.

Birmingham City - £27.50 - £32: Allocation roughly 2,000 – 2,300 (Believe the allocation is smaller as St Andrews is currently at a reduced capacity)

Blackburn Rovers - £30 - £35: Allocation roughly from 3,000 to 7,000

Bristol City - £28 - £33: Allocation roughly 3,400

Cardiff City - £25: Allocation roughly 3,000

Coventry City – £33: Allocation roughly 4,500

Huddersfield Town - £25 - £30: Allocation roughly 2,000

Hull City - £27 - £32: Allocation roughly 3,000 - 3,700

Ipswich Town - £30: Allocation roughly 2,000

Leeds United - £30: Allocation roughly 2,800

Middlesbrough - £25 - £31: Allocation roughly 3,000

Millwall - £29/£30: Allocation roughly 3,500(includes bottom tier)

Norwich City - £30: Allocation roughly 2,400

Plymouth Argyle - £26 - £30: Allocation roughly 2,000

Preston North End - £28: Allocation roughly 2,300

Queens Park Rangers - £30: Allocation roughly 3,000

Rotherham United - £23 - £25: Allocation roughly 2,500

Sheffield Wednesday - £20 - £25: Allocation roughly 2,500 (Leppings Lane has a reduced capacity currently)

Southampton - £30: Allocation roughly 3,300

Stoke City - £30: Allocation roughly 2,800

Sunderland - £20 - £30: Allocation roughly 3,000

Swansea City - £30: Allocation roughly 2,000

Watford - £27 - £30: Allocation roughly 2,300

West Bromwich Albion - £20: Allocation roughly 2,000 (looks like WBA have giving smaller away allocations recently)

Leicester - We know members of the club actively read this forum, could we as a club write to all other Championship clubs and agree on a price for us visiting them and them us? say £25 also can we reduce our away end? We were the biggest away end in the Premier League for a number of years offering somewhere near 3,3?? tickets surely as a club you could make the segregation move and make our away end 3,000? We only just get 3,000 at Old Trafford and The Emirates, so it can be done.

Reading were trying to get a £20 limit on away fans if the other club did the same. (similar to £30 cap in premier league)

Would be amazed if the two Welsh and two North-East ones didn't get to that level. That said, fully expect our ticket office to make thing even more difficult for no good reason in the coming season as they seem to get a massive kick out of doing that.

Only Boro for me to do. Just never fallen right for me in the past, so hoping that stays a decent k.o time/day.

Lots I'm looking forward to revisiting though.
