I remember drawing Rotherham in 1979 - 2 legs - lost both - 1 - 2 at home and 3 - 0 away - so I'd say North.

34 of the 72 definitely north of us, 35 definitely south. We're marginally north of Peterborough and Walsall: 

 

City: 52.6204° N

Walsall: 52.5655° N

Peterborough:52.5647° N

 

so in theory us and Walsall go north, Peterborough south

We were that season, being in the midlands we're an edge case based on the distribution of other teams for an even 36/36 split

The North/South divide only came out around 3 years ago to reduce impact of travelling. Before then it was a free for all.
