Popular Post HankMarvin Posted 1 July 2023 Popular Post Posted 1 July 2023 BOLD TRAFFORD Leicester City chase Man City’s England U21 star James Trafford after sealing Harry Winks transfer from Tottenham LEICESTER are on the trail of England Under-21 sensation James Trafford. The goalkeeper, 20, has been the breakout star of the Young Lions’ impressive campaign at the Under-21 Euro's Leicester are chasing a move for Man City and England U21s goalie James TraffordCredit: Getty Relegated Leicester are considering moving for a stopper. And they have been impressed with Trafford, who is set to be loaned out again from Manchester City next term. Yet it remains to be seen whether the Foxes would be keen to borrow a new goalie rather than sign one on a permanent transfer basis. Trafford claimed before this summer’s Euros in Georgia that he would be ready to play in a Champions League final NOW if given the chance. That’s despite playing no higher than League One at club level to date. But he has backed up his bold words with three excellent performances in England’s flawless group stage. The stopper has picked up a hat-trick of clean sheets, showing excellent distribution, shot-stopping and confidence in possession. Trafford will be in between the sticks again tomorrow when Lee Carsley’s side take on Portugal in the quarter-finals in Kutaisi. 6 3
moore_94 Posted 1 July 2023 Posted 1 July 2023 Would love for us to get Trafford, if we did I expect it would be a loan A permanent deal would be incredible, would have no issues with a buy back clause for Man City as I expect they will include that in any deal if he leaves them permanently anyway 2
TrickyTrevLeftPeg Posted 1 July 2023 Posted 1 July 2023 Yes. All over this. Way more than Steffan. Get it done Rudders 1

kingfox Posted 1 July 2023 Posted 1 July 2023 Will just copy and paste what I posted in the Players for the Championship thread the other week. This is why he should be number one choice over Steffen... James Trafford Bringing him in on loan would make so much sense with him being a product of Man City. A very successful loan spell at Bolton last season where he captured their Young Player Of The Season award. 88% accurate passes, 80% forward passes, 98% lateral passes. +14.58 for prevented goals(Best in League One), 79.43% for save rate(2nd best in League One) and 2nd for most clean sheets. GERRIMIN! 3
Popular Post sphericalfox Posted 1 July 2023 Popular Post Posted 1 July 2023 Can't stay with Man City with a name like that. Sign him up. 1 5
Bryn Posted 1 July 2023 Posted 1 July 2023 Always been quite happy loaning a keeper in. Position lends itself to it moreso than outfield players I think.
Ric Flair Posted 1 July 2023 Posted 1 July 2023 He's not yet ready to go on loan to a PL club and be 1st choice IMO, the logical move is a Championship loan and we are best placed. 3

ALC Fox Posted 1 July 2023 Posted 1 July 2023 Now then, this would be lovely. His performances at the U21 Euros have been excellent.

Steffen is out till the end of the year(ish). By the time he's up to speed we are probably looking at Dec/Jan. And that's assuming his recovery goes well, which isn't garenteed. He's not a good short term option. 1
Will1981 Posted 1 July 2023 Posted 1 July 2023 Guess nothing will happen with this until after the U21 Euro's so will give Enzo time to check out our current keepers.
egg_fried_rice Posted 1 July 2023 Posted 1 July 2023 Definitely would prefer this fella over Steffen, and would be happy for it to be a loan too.
Haywood_6 Posted 1 July 2023 Posted 1 July 2023 Had a good season with Bolton and he's been excellent for England U21's as well. Would be really happy with this if it gets done. We're the perfect club for him at this stage in his career.

We still have Daniel Iversen (who PNE's player of the season) and Danny Ward (although I don't rate him) assuming Maresca opts to stick with them until Steffen recovers and gets back up to speed.
UniFox21 Posted 1 July 2023 Posted 1 July 2023 Wonder if agent talk has got confused between the two man city keepers originally
