It's very much down to us doing all you could ever dream of and more. A long time ago I said I'd retire if I saw us win the FA cup... I saw that AND the Premier league.

Although, when I've seen an enjoyable, high tempo interesting game, it reminds me why I loved it. A bit more of that and I'd probably get the bug back, because now for me it's more about entertainment.

I totally get this and confess I have similar feelings. However, I am really enjoying being a big dog in this league AND watching the strategy unfold.

Next season will be a real challenge for me I expect, because we will be back to being in amongst so many teams just fighting for survival and making up the numbers whilst the nation state funded super wealthy compete at the top. The Prem is increasingly now such an unbalanced and unlevel playing field that has lost almost all sporting credibility for me. Truly sad.

Have the very vast majority not said it's because of the slow pace, is that not his tactics?

Absolutely not.

That's like saying the temperature you set the oven is part of the ingredients.

And is the whole point of someone saying they are bored of the football, specifically IN the tactics thread, a criticism of the tactics in an entertainment sense, seeing as that's what the thread is about.

Just criticising the tactics brings nothing to the discussion - fine if you don't like it but point to a tactical element you feel is responsible

Personally I've reached that stage now, where entertainment and excitement and not just wins are needed to keep me engaged. I fully appreciate what he's done so far, how it wasn't an easy position to take over, despite out wealth of talent. My feelings aren't really down to him, I'd already given up and needed someone special to keep me interested like I used to be. That's not how I've always been, but with added responsibilities in terms of family and a business, if it's not something special I'm better off using my time elsewhere and that's what I've done.

Fair enough, start a thread about it

If this was a decade ago I'd be happy as Larry I think.

We don’t do enough to move a team around that’s just sitting there, there’s really nothing to be afraid of letting a full back overlap a winger, it would really help us get somewhere. Mavididi is not good enough at beating players to try to do it by himself every time

I think you absolutely nail this in terms of how I feel too

The more I watch us play, the more concerned I become that this style of play is actually very little to do with our points tally, and more to do with the relative quality of our squad compared to the rest of this league.

I think you could have put Big Sam in charge at the start of the season and we’d still have the same points tally due to our quality over the others in this league.

Im genuinely not convinced by the “Enzo way” and even more worried how poor we’ve actually looked for the most part this season tbh

I really like him but I PERSONALLY get no enjoyment watching this style

Same. It started off really so so and after a few games was starting to look really good. But it's been so bloody passive for the last 5+ games.

Wednesday have totally deserved something

I’m bizarrely happy we have had a rocket here

Still don't think we have the personnel for this system yet.

I don't think we have a very good system. Personally I think you need Elite players to make Enzos blueprint functional. Hope you're right though

Yes definitely bizarre

Don't see the point of signing Tom Cannon if you only ever intend to play an anonymous Vardy and a very, very out of form Nacho. Our frailties are all forward ones and the answer is on the bench.

This is the thing he is doing well in the championship because he has the best squad at his disposal.

Play his tactics in the premier league with this team we go straight back down.

That's if we go straight back up that is.

****ing absolute borefest

It was actually the same in Rodgers last full season. We were absolutely dire that whole season but individual quality bailed us out.

People talk about not having the players for this system is embarrassing. Enzo has inherited the best squad in the league and been able to bring in several players. If they can't do it at this level, then find a system to suit the players. That's just bad management.
