I think that must be the goals he’s scored tattooed onto his right  bicep. That’s the kind of manager I want.

For some obscure reason John Terry had the name of player’s wives and girlfriends tattooed on his right arm …. and his left arm and his right arm and leg and his back

Evans?

“It’s just as we said before, we are creating a squad. We have been in contact with him. We’ll see in the next weeks.”

Hmm... He should be moved on.

Sounds like Evans is assessing his options and we have put an option out to him. We might have to move on to other targets if he doesn’t make his mind up. I don’t think he wants to be an option off the bench which he might end up being for us..

Someone’s been chatting to Claudio I reckon.

Need to be be patient in what Enzo is trying to implement, particularly if it's a bad start to the season.

If he was at someone like Watford and it wasn't working after 4 games, he'd be most likely be out already.

Fine, but it's not as inspirational as: "My biggest mentor is myself because I've had to study, so that's been my biggest influence".

What are you talking about. Ego off the fuching scale. Who the heck do you think you are? 🧐

What did you take from Guardiola?

“You want to know if we will play the same way? It’s that idea, but as I said, it’s not tomorrow. It’s a process. The idea is to try to play one way, but that requires time. Hopefully we can do it as quick as possible.”

How are you as a manager?

“I always like to be like a sponge, and try to learn every day. The most beautiful thing for the players is the ball.”

How are you going to play?

“To have the ball. When they were learning the game, they were looking for a ball to play with. So we will try to have the ball as much as possible. They enjoy having the ball, not running after the opponent. We have to adapt. Leicester is different in the Championship to Premier League. Every team wants to take points off us, because we are Leicester, because we are for them, the most important team in the Championship. I saw this with Man City. Every team wants to get points against them. We have to be ready for that.”

This concerns me. Massively.

It is a good thing for the players to have the ball, of course it is, but as long as you're doing something with it, the concerns stem from us doing absolutely nothing with it for 2 seasons.

What can I say, it's simply scarred me. PTSD.

But! He also says alot of things that impress and make me more comfortable:

Championship?

“It’s a complicated league because many teams they are fighting to be promoted. You can win in different ways. To see the squad we create, then we will see the way we will try to achieve our target."

Adapting?

“We need to adapt. The Championship, it’s different from the Premier League. If we don’t have that, it will be a bad thing.”

Mentality?

“This is one of the targets, to understand the competition. When you play in the Premier League and you get relegated, you must adapt quickly.”

Yes please! There is more than "One way of playing football". One of my biggest criticisms under the last regime is we were too rigid, refused to play any other way or tie other bows to our string, mix it up!

As for mentality, well, I said it when he joined and spoke of mentality - I hope he's a right **** to those who need to buck their ideas up but at the same time gaining the respect needed.

I hope we are patient, this will not be a switch, we need to adapt as group and let him imprint the Enzo plan

Curious to see how Vardy fits into this system, completely plays against the diminishing strengths he has.

He’s obviously going to be the best striker in this division based on pure ability but I can’t see Enzo’s tactical approach suiting him at all. And on likely 80k a week (if he even has a relegation clause) it sounds like a very expensive formation.

Imagine Vardy is being seen as a experienced head at the top of the pitch with smarts, can easily seem him linking heavily with a few runs, and to stretch his legs now and again

Here's the full conference. He's a very likeable guy!

I think it's notable that he says the plan is about building for the next 3-5 years. We want to get promoted this season, but it's about instilling a culture and way of playing, and that's going to take time.

Some highlights for me:

- Immediately said yes to the offer because a rebuild was involved. He really liked the sound of that.

- Was comfortable at Man City and his family settled. They were part of the family there. But for professional reasons he couldn't pass this offer up.

- We've signed some older players to instil the right values on newer ones coming through.

- Will play possession football but knows that in this division other approaches will be needed at times.

- First task is to get the right squad. Says this several times so sounds like there's going to be quite the upheaval.

- Not so concerned with next April or May right now, he wants to see improvement in the team week by week.

Really looking forwards to having him here, I am even more excited now he's laid a lot of this out.
