Going all that way to sell a few shirts has backfired then. 

 

And we've got a week to wait until we learn nothing from getting pumped by Liverpool.

 

We should be away at Derby or something similar today actually trying to rebuild the footballing side of things, you know, like a football club.

Cov played Shrewsbury yesterday and have games against Exeter and MK Dons to come. I can’t see how we will be in anyway prepared enough to face them come opening day. 
 

Criticising the current choices of the leadership gets hostility but some of these decisions given the failings just make no sense. Ah well, great marketing campaign.

Going out there in monsoon season when we're in the Championship and we'll have less than a week before kick off is ridiculous. 

 

Top needs to stop dreaming and grasp the reality of our situation. The football side of the club must always come first - hence why Rudkin is still in a job is ludicrous - sheer incompetence and gives completely the wrong signal to everyone else at the club  

 

We should be playing away at somewhere like Mansfield and have 2 teams active to get in as many 60 / 70 minutes in the players legs as possible. 

 

Those that are going to leave should not be playing and being given as much incentive as possible to move to their new clubs. 

 

Our head has been in the clouds (no pun intended) for far too long - Good clear clinical thinking has to be a must from here in

We’ve played a couple of behind closed door friendlies. 
 

You would like to imagine we would look to get a few more in as well. 

 

Even games at Seagrave, without a crowd are better than this total waste of time.

Pre season matches are usually pointless. We employ 50 footballers and have all the facilities to hold 90 minute matches internally. Everything you think you learn from friendlies  goes out of the window when the first competitive matches start. And then there is the injury risk. Get them back home double quick.

I was thinking the same. 

 

I'm relaxed about us being undercooked. Within 10 mins v Cov the adrenaline will be pumping and all the pre match tactics vanish as players find their feet and trust their own game
