23/24 Injuries Thread

Why are we developing Casadei? Chelsea aren't selling and we have better than him in that position. If you're not good enough to play there you won't play. Iversen, Souttar, Daka are all examples of this. A fit Ndidi and Akgun and he's probably 3rd choice.

The only thing Praet's benefitted from is the absence of Rodgers. Another one that just needed a man manager not an ego.

I said previously that Casadei is behind Wilf in the pecking order, and should be part of the rotation. The problem we have at the moment is with some injuries to Yunus and Wilf Casadei is the defacto first choice. He is going to blow hot and cold and proved against Sunderland he can develop and is good enough. As opposed to Praet who has shown very little (except for a cross in the Cov game) but has also shown very little desire to put a shift in for Leicester. Little point talking about Praet at the moment any way, because even when he is over his injury he isn't going to be match fit. Praet isn't the solution.

With Casadei, develop correctly and he could well click into place for the 2nd half of the season and be much more consistent. That's why you continue to play him. He wasn't the only player that struggled against Leeds.

Yunus fit?

“Him and Wilf are still out. Hopefully we can have them after the break.”

Cannon?

“Yes, finally. But now it’s been one week with us and he could tomorrow be in the squad. After two months out, he is fit and could be tomorrow, but not 90 minutes.”

Any other injuries?

“Dennis is joining us in session, so hopefully we can have him after the international break. Callum is still out. That’s all.”

The amount of long term injuries Chilwell, Fofana, Barnes and Maddison have had is staggering.

All of our big sales in recent times (not N'golo or Mahrez) left with the LCFC curse. I've believed for some time that it really is a thing.

  • 2 weeks later...

We are currently 19 games and 3 months into a gruelling schedule. And we currently have 1 injury. Hopefully this will stop complete meltdowns in future when players get injured and calm down all this nonsense about a seagrave curse.

No need for the hysteria all the time. Top athletes get injuries and sometimes in a team sport those injuries build up.

Okay that twists things a little.

We've had Yunus, Wilf and Praet out for the last few weeks, and in Praets case since August.

And then we've had Kasey having pulled his hamstring and only been fit the last few weeks.

Does anyone think KDH has something bothering him ?

Thought he came off with just a few mins to go vs Watford to give Yunus a run out?
