Your like Fagan,or Scrooge..counting what money you can collect not understanding in this case, they can help to fill the coffers by not having to buy unknowns..And at present there is not one presumptuous fan,who knows which players Enzo wants to keep has immediate rotation...All the talk is from clickbait media, and know-Alls on this forum trying to pre-guess manager & club descisions..You all are creating presumptuous stories, then demanding they are fact...Neither the club or manager have issued any definite player movement,it's only coming from prescripted clickbait media..

I'll wait until transfer window is closed and who Enzo selects in his first 1-5 games ,team&bench upto 18 players..

That when I will throw my £'s worth in

on who Enzo sees/wants at the forefront producing & presenting his

Tactics and preparing the present squad...for our new challenge & adventure...

One reason we have miserable FT fans is non of their guesses or assumptions

Come to frutation, they are more concerned in pressing in sometime the right buttons, instead of sitting back & just enjoying our new story & what we offer on the football-pitch..

It's clear players that are good technically, players that can play multiple positions and also players that have a good football brain will be valued. My favourite player is Iheanacho so if he can find use for him, or somehow turn Ndidi into an attacking midfielder, I'm all for it, it just seems unlikely but time will tell.

He might turn Nacho into a box to box DM & Ndidi into suprise formidable striker...Now there's a thing to get us all talking..

We’ve got a lot of work to do on the contract front.

Just looking at where we are at the moment, I can potentially see a lot more upheaval in January, with the wage bill coming down even more. We’ve so many players entering the last 6 months of contracts, that it wouldn’t surprise me if we move a few on.

30th June 2024 30th June 2025 30th June 2026 30th June 2027 30th June 2028
Marc Albrighton Danny Ward Conor Coady Wout Faes Harry Souttar
Jannik Vestergaard Daniel Iversen Ricardo Pereira Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall Mads Hermansen
Dennis Praet   Harry Winks Hamza Choudhury Victor Kristiansen
Jamie Vardy   Boubakary Soumaré
Wilfred Ndidi   Patson Daka
Kelechi Iheanacho   James Justin
Luke Thomas   Stephy Mavididi
Wanya Marçal   Sammy Braybooke
Callum Doyle   Kasey Mcateer
Ceser Casadei   Will Alves
Yunus Akgun
Issahaku Fatawu
Alex Smithies

The ones I’ve highlighted in Green, I think we need to ensure we retain for next season.

The ones in orange, it wouldn’t surprise me if they went in January or at the end of the season.

Vardy, Praet, Thomas and Albrighton will all be gone come July either way I’d imagine.

If we can’t get Ndidi and Iheanacho to sign new contracts, we may try and sell in January.

Souttar and Daka just aren’t featured and were heavily touted as wanting out. We will be set for another the round of that shortly.

Either way, it’ll be a different squad again next season but that allows us to gain more people that are comfortable the ball under this system. It’ll also be interesting to see where the likes of Braybooke and Alves fit in.

Got to be the next priority after the ins and outs of this summer. For the likes of Thomas, Choudhury and Marcal either sign a new deal or we’re shipping you out late in the window/January.

Another Rudkin shocker that someone who is a highly sellable asset like Thomas - young, English, plenty of premier league experience, honours to his name - could walk for nothing.

It's a 2 way street, if we offer silly money to get them to extend Rudkin would get it in the neck for that too.

Please no more Vesty to be offered a new contract.

How 95% of opposition sides this season will respect us and not put any quality pressure on the back line.

Whilst in the PL, even the lower table sides would offer the same respect.

The thought of Jannik running towards his goal, having to defend against a pacy/physical striker still makes me very uneasy.

Just shows what a shocking bit of business the Jan window was. Souttar and VK on 5 year deals. Neither really in the managers plans already.

In this system I wouldn't mind giving him a year's extension in January to play backup e.g. in the cup and if injuries to others occur. I expect Souttar to move on, so that only really leaves Faes and Coady as out-and-out CB options. Agree that we should be looking for someone more mobile to replace him though.

Depends if he'd want to do that after being frozen out once before. His performances this season are surely putting him in the shop window for some sides, so I imagine behind the scenes we're weighing up whether an extension would make sense purely so we can get a fee. There are probably teams in other European leagues that can see his skillset would work in a slower paced league, or he might even acknowledge that this is his level and be willing to go to another relegated side like a Sheff United or a Burnley.

Didn’t Thomas sign another year as part of his loan deal? A bit like Hamza’s loan last year.

No but he has a one year option that we will use

Both are decent players. We didn't know last January that we'd be relegated and appoint Maresca, and that he wouldn't favour Souttar and that VK would refuse to learn a new role. They were sensible signings at the time.

Can't remember Dean Smith rating them either, both were non starters from April time.

the vestergarde situation is the most complex for sure.  If it was just one year longer we’d get to see if he can cut it in this system in the prem. But at this age he’d be looking for 3 years and i’m not sure id want us to commit to that.

...if we stuck with Smth we would have had a use for them, the fact we switched to Maresca's passing game is why they are surplus!!!

Unless we understood Maresca was coming here, then it was not a poor choice.

I hardly think Smith was the barometer of wise decisions and team selections. He kept picking Tielemans to our detriment for a start off.

I can’t see any of the old crop of players being offered new contracts because I bet they’re getting paid too much and wouldn’t want to sign a new lesser contract.

I’m surprised Hamza was given a new 4 year contract but maybe he’s earning less now but was happy to sign because of the long deal.

If we get promotion we have an obligation to buy him outright.

Ok so it means we have made Almost Same Deal with Yunus and Fatawu. Do you know how much of Fatawu?

If we go up, We'll need to invest so much in the squad that Winks will become a squad player. Faes and Vesty should not even be third choice next season.

Winks will still be a virtual part.

No chance we are going to have the money to patch all the holes in the squad.

If Ndidi and Nacho don't resign we need a minimum a CF, no 8 and a LCB, that's 40m to 60m gone.

We also have a obligation to buy Futuwa and Akgun if we go up and they play enough games. If you believe the figures quoted that already 23m committed as well.

So I don't see us looking to replace Winks.

I think for Yunus has 2 different options. One is 10 the other is 8.If he starts 25 game as fırst eleven and  plus promotion but If he cannot play 25 games but still a promotion it reduce 8 million.

It'll be a repeat of Mendy, hopefully we've learnt.
