I'll never understand why one team can concede try line penalties without punishment and then opposition get a card straight away. Also timely injuries' for the Welsh players so they could have a rest after the strong defence.

Bigger should have been yellowed in that phase of play

Different offences.

Wales never committed any yellow card offences, they'd only get one for persistent fouls which has just now happened because the ref have them a final warning.

The Fijian foul was distinctly cynical and shut down a pretty obvious try scoring push. Only reason it's not a penalty try is it's a bit too far from the line but that maul was shifting fast

Felt the warning for a yellow against Wales should have come earlier during those phases at 25-14. Fiji one was a deserved yellow. Guess its all irrelevant now.

Random rules question - If the attacking team touch the post with ball in hand without crossing the try line, is it still a try or have the rules changed?

Quite possibly but it didn't.

And honestly refs can't get a break. He goes to the pocket too prematurely and people moan about games being ruined by cards. He doesn't and people moan because he's letting a side get away with too much.

As far as I can tell the difference is generally whether or not it's happening to the loveable underdog everyone wants to win or not.

Was a good game. Fiji gave it a go, Wales had the staying power and turned it on  second half

Not over yet. Our ability to implode is still there. If I was a neutral I'd be telling people to calm down they've won.

But we've but panic mode in the last five minutes. If they score a try here we absolutely might lose. We've done it several times in the last year.

Remember we lost to England the other week who had 12 men at one point lol

and if that try righ there for Fiji would have stood would have been  a tasty last few ( the one on 77 mins)  No one likes to be made to work for it in the first game, but credit it where it’s due

Fair ****s, great game. Was conflicted at the end, that would have broken my work colleague  but would have been brilliant for Fiji to win.

That kick from Liam Williams. I reckon Biggar will kick him across the changing room
