Rowett will drop him for the next game in a desperate attempt to keep any remaining fans onside. I doubt he plays again until the new manager tries him out for his customary 5 games.

Rowett will do nuttin'

Winks will refuse to play I think, no coming back for him now. It was only a few weeks he managed to get himself back in the squad and now he's undone all that with this outburst.

Should never have been reintegrated. He clearly doesn't want to be here for anything other than the money and for that reason will always let us down in key moments regardless of occasional moments of looking like the quality player he once was. You have to be a moron not to see this.

I haven’t got a ticket, but may go down the ground to see players go in.. just to give Winks a load of stick. Detestable little p**** needs to just f*** off now, how he can accept a wage after the performances he’s been putting in for 2 seasons now is absolutely shameful!

Ruud gave him the right treatment last season yet the club and fans welcomed him back with open arms this season.

Yep, I remember saying on here he should be ****ed off but there were loads saying he’s the difference between fighting relegation or play offs or something along those lines.

The standard at this club is in the pits, no wonder we’re screwed.

And @Sly

No mate 45k is what the club has said he’s on. I trust our club about as far as I can throw them.

Capology have him on 90k the club say 45k but I imagine that’s been neatly tied into his extension being agreed. And I can see him agreeing to an extension on reduced wages. One thing Calology does if a club actually want to disclose how much they pay a player they will disclose it as verified. The fact we pay Ricardo Perriera 80k a week on his last signed contract for example is verified, that’s subject to relegation wage deductions obviously but I’m sure you get the rough idea, there’s no exact science with player wages unless you get their P60 but that’s the closest you will get.

They do however have the option to inform Capology they are paying him 45k if they wish to, as they did with Ricky. Shock horror they haven’t done that. Despite the fact they wanted to try and dispel a myth publically, informing Capology is the easiest way to do that as its industry recognised.

Wouldnt suprise me if it was far lower than where Capology have him at. If someone told he’s actually sat on somewhere between 60-70k I would be willing to believe that.

That lad has not been earning 45k a week during his time here. Literally is one of the most pampered players in the king power setup.

Reading between the lines, he’s 30, his ego and tbf to him, getting into bed with our club with the way it’s being run at the minute, has totally stifled would could have been a far better career. 45k would still be a lot more than anyone else will offer him now and I imagine the reason he’s agreed it is because his agent can’t find him anything better because he’s been thoroughly average, for years, has had a terrible attitude, for years. So he’s just taking the best offer he can get. He’s not happy here, I think we have all very evidentially seen this afternoon he’s not happy here 😂

Which is obviously from our wonderfully footballing clued up owners.

Because paying Harry Winks somewhere between 60-90k in the Championship and paying Harry Winks 45k a week in league one are the same thing. Gross miss management of a football club.

The really stupid thing there will be no debate about this next season, as we are all going to know he’s, at least, on 45k in league one now as they’ve put it through an official club communication thinking relegation wasn’t a possibility 😂

It’s mind boggling levels of naivety. And this is all Rudkin. I have plenty to say on Top (the obvious one being Rudkin should have been out of our club years ago and basically lives off the fact he developed Andy King)  but stuff like this is all Rudkin.

Judging by the massive property portfolio he owns (which has expanded considerably over the past few months) he's clearly doing very well financially. 54 properties including some in London and other expensive locations in the Home Counties.

Well he’s had his time at Spurs as well I guess and I don’t think you can necessarily gage a players wages by their investments. Some people are just better with money than others and I imagine he has ventures outside of things that don’t have to go through companies house.

Crude and extreme example I know but the see you next Tuesday could have won the euro millions for all we know.

But yeah, in general it does support my arguement.

to be fair to winks, if I had that hairline at his age, I would walk around raging against everybody every single day.

As it was, he started raging at someone completely bald instead:ph34r:

Retrospectively what would the punishment be if someone was to throw an egg at him on his arrival to the stadium for the next game 👀

He'd be more likely to get poached

You’d only be punished if you missed !

Isn't that the crux of modern football in general? This isn't a Winks issue per se.

They're free to invest their money in whatever way they like.

It just seems to me with each passing season, football itself becomes less and less a focus for modern footballers. It's the prestige that matters, the status. The money.

Footballers are no longer in it for the game, but for what the game entails.
