There was a point earlier in the season where he looked motivated again, but if he keeps acting like this from time to time then it’s time to get him gone in January.

The midfield has needed revamping for a little while. Hopefully we have some room to manoeuvre to move Winks and Soumare on in January then bring at least one new CM in.

It's crazy watching this guy in the Championship at age 29 and remembering he managed to get 10 caps for England.

He never stands out and most of the time looks overmatched at this level.

Sort of shows how players can be carried by other players or specific tactical systems.

Personally I think not replacing Ndidi has hurt us quite a few times this season, I’d bin Winks off for a midfielder with some defensive nous.

Braybrooke is averaging 3-4 tackles a game at Newport, might not be able to replicate those numbers at a higher level but he knows how to get into the right positions to win the ball back and is surprisingly physical given how slender he looks.

Where’s all the ones that absolutely insisted that he has to play although he’s stamps his feet like a spoilt brat !

It’s typical of why we’re in a mess as a club.

The likes of Pearson wouldn’t have put up with this and he’d have been gone long ago, yet the powers that be at board level just let it continue.

Drinkwater was just better at football than Winks, work ethic or not. Winks sits at the base of midfield and passes sideways and backwards because that's all he can do. Drinkwater could play balls over the top, carry the ball up the pitch, score from range and he could also play the short passing football that Winks gets praised for and did it at Premier league level rather than in the championship.

Very underrated footballer due to how his career went at Chelsea and shouldnt be put in the same conversation ability wise as Wink.

Yeah I didn't mean to belittle Drinkwater with that comment. Antonio was on Sky Sports News the summer we won it saying "if Leicester can win it anyone can". That was the mentality amongst other footballers who probably still can't see why players like that won it and they never came close.

He’s not getting 60k/week elsewhere so I doubt he’d agree that

If there's interest in him from a club offering a 4 or 5 years contract there's every chance.

Doesn't want to end up in a Sensi situation where he gets no move and then no interest.

Braybrooke will hopefully emerge at some point, but for the time being, I’d keep him with Fuchs at Newport.

An Ndidi type presence is one of our missing pieces imo, Cifuentes had Jonathan Varane at QPR, 6ft3 and ranked very high across the defensive metrics, we have nobody like that atm.

I'd only be bringing Braybrooke back if we let go of 2 of our midfield options, so Winks and Bouba.  Braybrooke either needs to finish the season where he's at or got to a higher level team where he's going to play on the regular.  Don't want him coming here just yet to be a bench contender that might not see the pitch.
