Him and Faes are a joke......how can Okoli and VK improve next to these two......they make Mads nervous everytime they are near the ball...midfield constantly has to help them out which then completely destroys any supply to Vards......sick of the pair of them

He's so gangly and there's so much of him that bits of him play people 3 yards onside even if their feet are ahead of his. Just about every freeze frame of a conceded goal has one of his limbs as out deepest point. Absolute liability, be better off with ten men.

Why does he make heading the ball look so difficult lol

 

It's like he struggles to use his body or get in the right positions to be physical against strikers.

 

How he's been given a new contract is insane.

I get a bit torn with this one as I think we'd negotiated the renewal before we knew Enzo was leaving and he was clearly a key cog in the enzo machine because of his ability on the ball.

 

But maybe I'm being too kind as all the evidence normally suggests we just give in to what anyone wants.

 

The ridiculous thing to me is if my belief is true, that we extended because of enzo before he left, how little do you need to know about football to think the smart thing was to think Cooper was going to get the best out of him and that's not just him that's half the team. The lack of a football strategy or any clue about football in general at the board level is staggering.

Even if Enzo wanted to re-sign Vestergaard, he should've been overruled and the club should actively have found a younger replacement. But I suppose our finances put pay to that idea so instead we are going to waste money on him for the next few years. Contract renewal made no business sense.

I'll say it again, he is the worse centre half I've seen here given the input the club have put into him (transfer fee and wages).

 

He can't run, he's not fast, he's not good in the air, he's not strong. He can't do anything.

 

Absolute joke he got a new contract.

We had the perfect opportunity to be rid of him in the summer. He would have finished his career here in a way where he would have actually remembered him quite fondly too, despite him having terrible for most of his Leicester career.

I have never been fooled by this charlatan from the minute we signed him.

I was still very critical of him last season unlike a few & who ever is in charge must tell him, & the board, he will not feature going forward, so he sits in the stand and draws a wage till he retires or goes and does something elsewhere to prolong his career (said in the loosest of terms) 

 

We must be the only side where our CBs haven’t got their head to a corner in either box.

Pace and physicality are now crucial assets to being successful in the modern PL. He has neither, should never start for the club at this level. 

 

The 3-year extension was something Enzo wanted, shows why we're in this mess as we give managers too much power.

I loved him last season, was one of my favourite players. But even after all that, you give him a year, absolute maximum two, MAXIMUM. Three is genuinely spectrum level behaviour

Unfortunately the alternatives at CB are almost as bad, if not worse.

This is the problem, We have 4 CBs and you wouldn't pick any of them if you had a choice. At Full back it's no better except Ricardo. 

 

Midfield no better I'd only keep NDiddi and get rid of the rest. Up Top, I'd only keep Fatawau and Bilal and get rid of the rest.

 

The only place we are good enough is in Goal. If only they had a bit of cover in front of them.

Rolling one year contract at best and this applies to a number of the squad like faes, VK and older players

vesty can't do anything but very very deep line in back 4- anything other than that and it needs to be back 3/5 with him being central deep defender. Shocking manager after manager bar Enzo cannot see this

They have to use what they have at their disposal. From memory, Cooper pretty much dropped him.

 

But yesterday was about as deep as ive seen us play, so i had presumed that Vesty was used tactically. Im just not really sure what the tactics were.

I can’t believe he’s still here really. Any self respecting club would’ve shook hands and let him go in the summer. Not Leicester though! He’s a 6 year deal for the 32 year old
