Looking forward to him being reintroduced into the team in 4/5 games times again. I suspect it'll be Coady's turn to play next.

I wouldn't mind seeing Coady is a back 3 - he was decent there for Wolves and Everton.

But yeah, it's the same issue if you play with a back four and don't surround Coady or Vestergaard with pace.

Some of the comments in this thread were laughable last year. People thought he suddenly turned good despite the fact he was just playing in a lower division.

He served a purpose in the Championship but we should have been ruthless and got rid in the summer but it might not have been that easy.

I think he may have had the club by the balls, this time last year. When we were stumbling and looking like we might collapse, the club would have done anything to keep the dressing room morale up.

It's not hard to imagine Vesty's agent banging the door down for a guarantee of a new long-term contract upon promotion.

He looked a lot better in the Championship because of really poor finishing from some awful strikers.

If you watch any game back from last season, we gave away two or three big chances a game.

What makes the three year deal worse for me, is we had the upper hand. He wasn’t going to be offered better terms anywhere else and we knew how bad he was at the top level.

At 35 he’s not going to be any betwer

Name and shame, these delusionals need to be exposed.

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone know how you delete all posts from a specific thread?

Club let him as a one off

Telegraph Sport has been told that Vestergaard was given permission to bring his dog by the club on this one occasion because his family in London were away and there was no one to care for it. It is understood that it was considered a “one-off” and solely as a means to help him prepare.

So fxxk all wrong with it.  We don't really need to make shit up in order to have something to moan about. But someone feels the need to. Bizarre.

Winks is one of three senior players, along with Conor Coady and Jannik Vestergaard, who commute from their homes in other parts of the country to the training ground in north Leicestershire, and the King Power Stadium. Having identified a less-than-ideal spirit among the group, with Vestergaard in particular leaving the training ground soon after the end of sessions, Van Nistelrooy said to those players that they had to spend more time in proximity to the club’s Seagrave base

Subsequently, some members of staff were surprised to learn that Vestergaard had brought his dog with him to stay at the training ground. He was spotted walking the dog around the training ground pitches in the morning as team-mates arrived. Vestergaard also asked one of the club’s player liaison officers to take care of the dog while he was training.

Nevertheless, the appearance of Vestergaard’s dog at a high-performance training centre – Seagrave is among the most advanced in the country – caused surprise among some and was regarded as indicative of a culture where certain players feel they can do what they want.

Has to go down as one of our worst ever signings.

The only time he looked any good was in the league below.

And we are going back there, so he can finally perform! /s

Not worried about the dog. I’d find it amusing though if the next time he plays the whole ground woofs everytime he touches the ball. Would provide some much needed match day entertainment

"Man looks after dog"

What an absolute rotter! There's many things to chastise the bloke for, this is not one of them lol

To be fair, it’s what it stands for. He was given one off permission and just carried on doing it. The dog part could be substituted for various other actions, it’s the principle of doing what they want and the lack of any discipline.

Maybe if he didn’t live 120 miles away he would be able to leave his pet at home. You know like most normal people have to do when they go to work Monday-Friday
