Love the fact that RvN did give Ward a chance as he was the "recognised" number 2. But equally hasn't shied away from doing the obvious and dropping him and bringing in JS.

Thought JS did well today. Should build on today's performance if he indeed is required again.

Ward got his chance at Newcastle and made a meal of it. Stolarczyk is our Nr 2 and has been since last season.

He did well tonight, not alot he could do with the goals, made some good saves and looked steady.

Those lambasting RVN for not picking him sooner need to remember he's coming back from an injury too.

Iverson was still the obvious choice over Ward but Jakub wasn't available

JS is only just back from long term injury.

The back 4 seemed much more settled with Jakub in goal today. I've said it several times on here (sorry), but it's clear to me that the team have absolutely no confidence in Danny Ward. They looked like they believe in Stolarczyk.

If that's really the case why didn't either Coady or Vesty say something to RVN to save him the trouble of finding out how shit he his in league games.

Hopefully if Mads goes we give give a new contract in the summer

We should be giving JS a new contract regardless, and now to be honest as it appears he is back fine from injury. It only runs to 2026.

I whole heartily agree. Just their body language in defence seemed more relaxed then against Wolves.

What also impressed me was his ability to catch a ball in a crowd. He was strong and made the right decisions. When he was under pressure, he punched it and got it clear enough.

Could he have done better for goal 2? Maybe I'm being a bit harsh. But overall I feel so much more relaxed with Jakub, he looks a decent keeper at this level.

As I say I like him.

Bare in mind he did well in his first game of the season after being injured, hes a really important player for the future imo, Mads is borderline world class and I accept that he could be our next big sale, I would be happy to give Stolarcyk the gloves and spend the money elsewhere.

Rather standard moment from the commentator last night "Little known out of his native land of Poland...."

2 Football league loans and an SPL loan, also been in Leicester since he was 17 lol

If they don't play For any of the top 10, then the media do t have a scooby, which is lazy.

As an aside you can tell he's grown up around Kasper, what a great experience that must have been! Very commanding in his area, rushed out to block a few efforts.

What he was able to add under Enzo/Willy was more ability with his feet.

Great to see him make his prem debut... bet he's sick of anfield lol

This is the first game Jakob has been declared fit.

Going to have to strongly disagree with this, mate. Ward should never have been given another chance. Minimal research from Ruud would have shown how costly his performances have been for the club and how reviled he is by lcfc fans.

Agree with the rest of your post re Jakub though

I agree that Ward shouldn’t have been used.

But in Ruud’s defence JS actually wasn’t available for the bench v Newcastle so Ward was almost impossible not to pick there. Once he’d had 45 minutes, and JS wasn’t fully fit it would be a strange and high risk decision for RVN to de-select Ward.

Ultimately he had the guy with the number 1 shirt, £12m player, in his prime years, or a young lad that’s not fully fit to choose from. It’s not hard to see why he chose Ward.

(Although I am absolutely with you that he shouldn’t have)!

We need to support him and protect him now that madds is injured for a while we need Jacob more than ever. Wish we could give him wards wages as a bonus.

now we need to strengthen our defence quickly in Jan. Hope we can beat city as strange as that seems but even a draw might be possible. Probably will give city the helping hand to get back to winning ways.

Stolarczyk wasn't fit when he arrived and Iversen isn't good either.

As soon as he's been able to drop Ward he has.
