It's concerning that he doesn't have a clear best position. He plays as a winger but can't beat his man or cross particularly well - he works hard and has a goal in him but that's about it. He'll be 24 in November so not a kid anymore either.

He's very limited but we've always known that. Quite fast and supports lcfc. Offers more than some I guess.

Might be worth a go as a central striker? Has shown in patches that he can finish, and can’t be any less effective than Daka was tonight in that role. If he keeps serving up performances like that though he’ll be in the non league soon.

Another one where sentimentality gets in the way where the club is concerned. Hard to say what the lad is actually prolific at in any sense. He is at times OK, other times utterly  ineffective.

I'll keep saying it he's simply not a winger, he's a box to box midfielder put him in the deep role next to Winks and get some energy in there we have more talented wingers than him for those roles

I think he'll do ok this season, but he'll frustrate more often than he'll impress.

not sure about defensively but he probably has all the attributes Marti wants from his full backs going forward, like I said before in my previous post though I think he's a box to box CM

A fairly common thread seems to be this guy is earning £780k per year???  more than probably 99.5% of Leicestershire workers

e luckily scored a few goals at the start of the last Championship season, that got him some time in the squad that season, hardly a look in top flight last year.

He always plays coz he's last man standing after any anybody good has left.

Again why do most on here see it AND Rudkin wouldn't take Sunderland's money when we were skint and PSR had arrived or was incoming.  Just like Hamza, how have they been here SO long when so limited quality, annoyingly they have 1 good game in 20, that gets clocked and they get another 6 months of good faith.

The lad needs goals and assists to his game otherwise I’m not sure what his purpose is. He does put in a graft though.

im over the penalties it happens the best if the best get nervous and don’t score. This game was not that important in the grand scheme of things. Take it as a learning moment and move on.

I thought when Choudhury went off last night that McAteer could make a decent full back but its not a good sign for a player if you are constantly looking at new positions for them.

Centrally he's not technically good enough to receive the ball. Only real strength is running off the ball and picks up some decent positions in the box.
