Feels like we are 1 striker injury shy of a crisis, but maybe Enzo feels that we could play false 9s in our current formation and still do well.

Mavididi, Akgun, Assahaku could maybe play centrally like Foden and Silva have done (slightly different quality) for Man City on lots of occasions. Still think we need a 3rd striker just to ensure a plan B.

All I will say is I love Enzo's pre match team talks.

Enzo " right lads it's 2.40 you have 5 minutes on FT. Right go out and play"

KDH 2

Mc A 2

6 pts

FT match threaders please keep it up.

With Abdul Fatawa Issahaku coming in too, he is also a player who can play through the middle - maybe he is a false

9?

People saying we would get turned over by the absolute best the championship has to offer are probably overlooking one detail.  Coventry aside, every team has parked the bus against us.  I fancy Leicester to look a lot more threatening when up against a side having a real go, rather than one just trying to keep the score down.

Funny thing is I only feel Huddersfield parked the bus, the other games they only did it when tiring end of game. (which is when we been scoring mostly).  Rotherham gave it a go in the second half.

When they park it allows us to get a long string of passes together, thats why we been scoring more towards end of games I think.  Our fitness is the opposite of last season and winning out.

Its counter attacking that thrives against attacking teams, Playing Norwich will be interesting to see if we adapt or try to pass round them whilst they closing us down and attacking with pace.

Also overlooking the fact that teams may adapt the way they play when they face us.

I'm getting slightly bored myself of using the "Man City" example. But look at us 2 or 3 years ago. We'd be flying against teams like West Ham or Everton, for example, but Man City came with a reputation and when we played them we'd set up completely differently, we'd go into a game against them not to lose, and at best nick a goal and take a 1-0 win, as most did and still do.

We keep picking up these results with this style and system, the likelihood is that the vast majority of teams this season will set up the same way. In the hope that that 1st team that doesn't set up that way takes a bit of a hiding, the rest of the league will take note and not try it again.

We don't need to concentrate on what other teams are doing right now and how they're playing against other teams. The fact is, they may come to our place and not play that way anyway.

While it's not exactly clicking right now it's not as bad as some are making out and again, I'll say we need more patience. Football is a results based business, 4 from 4 and only Leicester fans can still be upset by that and look for the flaws in it.

I don’t think anybody has parked the bus.

they way to beat us is set pieces and balls in behind and all the teams we have played have had success with that.

our quality is seeing us through and just got to hope when it clicks we start blowing teams away.

Their support was none existent. We are levels above them atmosphere wise at home.

Agreed. Put it this way. I’d happily play them away from home every week.

I got the Vestegaard comments at the start of the season and somewhat so after Coventry but now it feels like people are just jumping on him for the sake of it. I think he’s done well in implementing the way the manager wants to play and he’s obviously very happy with him so why do people feel the need to jump in on him still?

Because they are sheep and idiots

Think we can put to bed that pre season was a disaster, we are running teams to death which is great to see.

It's still not there 100% but the fact there were people on here saying we would start slow and we bottom half come September I think people now just need to buy into the fact it's going to take time but we haven't lost (or looked like losing) in any game!

We have some 'tougher' games on paper coming up but if this is us when we were meant to be struggling because of pre season then the rest of the season should be easy!

The best thing Enzo has done it got them running, it won us games in the prem but the last 18 months we have been so unfit compared to others.

I thought if Eaves scored when he came on, the roof was going to come off.

It would have been a real gutter.

Well done again Leicester,  there's much o improve on and I'm sure we'll see that over time.

Under a bit of pressure after their goal but we regrouped and took control in the later stages.

Impressed how we kept the ball at the end as well👍

This needs to stop - he had 6 aerials won today, the next highest was doyle with 3.

Whoscored .com gave him a 7.4 rating for today & he is a 7.02 for the season. Very decent numbers indeed.

He does look ungainly at times  but he is playing well for us so far this season

we are better than 75% of the league, it's the rest we're competing against for those top 2 places, that's the real test. We need depth and goals. KDH needs to find some form, Ndidi and Vestegaard need benching, It'll be interesting how we do against Southampton, really looking forward to Coady starting and wouldn't mind a player pushing KDH for his place

wouldn't mind a player pushing KDH for his place…..

Couldnt we say that for many positions…Winks…??  Ndidi..Casadei coming in..I suppose.

Mavididi needs simply game time, working with the team.

The manager is also looking for what works, and after 4 games,wanted/wanting to give his  first selections decent gametime to build up routines. One can’t choose & drop players immediately in what he considers key & bridging  positions..

4 games..To all posters think about it..FFs just  4 games..!!
Eachway but lose..Hes selecting his first group, does not mean yet his first prefered choice. Sometimes you have to make a choice & keep to it at the beginning, to give selections a fair crack..

Enzo is not the „All seeing, all knowing prophet“ he too has to learn,

what rescources can do what…in the competitive league games.

Unless what he considers catastrophes, he won’t swap & change or tinker too much. I bet in some positions he was tempted to use players, now sitting on the bench….Give it time, don’t expect answers, neatly wrapped & ready to share out.I bet there is still some pass the parcel antics from his side, and not yet ready to stop the music..or unveil preferences..

I’m really concerned  that Whelan and Rudkin are going to see the 100% record so far and wonder why we need to spend more. To the average fan, it’s painfully obvious that Ndidi in a CM role doesn’t work and goodness… Vesty… his shortcomings in the champ are there for all to see.

we’ll get absolutely turned over at games like Norwich away and a few other teams.. it feels like we are 1-2 injuries away from struggling.

now, don’t misunderstand me.. our start is very encouraging and we have had some great performances   From individuals and we are doing well… but we can’t think ‘ we’ve made it’ we have to build on the start we’ve made..

macateer scoring two goals gives us a big headache.. the lad did great.. but  again.. I hope  Susan and  Jon don’t scrap plans to bring someone in for that position..

I get the impression that Maresca is not shy about voicing his opinion. I'm sure he lets people know exactly what he wants

I see sky been lazy at highlights again, long sequence of play for our second goal, and it just shows the last of it.

To be fair it seems like they put the quick highlights up after one hour, then extended ones after 12-24. But I have to say I hate “highlights” like that, there’s so much more to football than goals and it does a huge disservice to the defenders and midfielders involved. Second goal once again was a good team move!

oh I’m sure he does. The problem is that you are hanging everything on the line when you do that and are pretty much forced to do something when you don’t get what you ask for..

Anyone who says Vesty is at fault has an agenda

Also I couldn't care less who scores as long as we win, result 1st, performance 2nd, everyday a week and twice on Sunday, GET A GRIP the 1st time in the history of our football club we've won this amount games too start a season, beggars belief sometimes with the absolute tripe you read on here

I'm still utterly bemused at folks doubting the Winks' signing. The guy has been great; he was always going to be the fulcrum upon which the creative and attacking players would prosper.

I think we have to bear in mind that KDH is stuck in the middle of a Mavididi/Nacho/Ndidi bermuda triangle - none of these players are offering him quite the support he needs - Mavididi and him still aren't on the same wavelength, Nacho (assist aside) had another substandard game, and ndidi doesn't have the right tools to be playing as a #8 - I don't think it's a coincidence that KDH and the team in general played their best football in the 20 minute spell from casadei and vardy coming on up to KDH and mcateer going off.

Yes your correct, hopefully with the support of the right players around him and getting a better understanding with Mavididi  he will start to flourish more 👍
