You know what we are going to win this Championship…We won’t get credit..

because everyone will say, yeh but look at their wages…it’s obvious they won it..!!!
Why wasn’t it then obvious when we got relegated…

Btw I had a good day. Rotherham got to be one of the friendliest away trips and the town gets a bit of a rep but there’s far worse places.

Only blemish was the mindless booing of the knee again amongst our support. I just find it laughable they feel enabled at away games but not at home

I think people have the right to boo just as they have a right to clap if they want, it’s a bit of an ineffective gesture at this point

Re: The disallowed goal for Rotherham. If Hugill touched it, and the fact that he was claiming the goal suggests he did touch it, it was (a) with his arm, and (b) he looked offside when the corner was flicked on anyways.

I think that was his problem. If he hasn’t celebrated he could have passed it off as not making contact, then again for the linesman to agree on the handball you’d like to think he did see it.

I hate to think what will happen when we are losing a game by a couple of goals (because it is likely to occur at some point). In a new system, which will take time to bed in, I'd have thought our players would need encouragement (some are very young). I understand people booing last season as the effort and fitness of our squad was appalling. But from the games I've witnessed this year, they've rolled their sleeves up, fought hard and have continued to find a way to win all of their games. EM isn't going to change his footballing philosophy. As fans we need to accept a different culture and as long as I see our players giving 100%, then win, draw or lose I'll not complain. I will be disappointed when we lose, but I don't understand what purpose booing achieves other than deflating the confidence of a squad that is trying to get us out of this league.

He is not on about booing the performance, he is talking about fans booing the players for taking the knee at kick off.

Thank you for clarifying that as I was genuinely confused at what booing the knee meant.  Seems obvious now you've explained it!

never understood why fans still insist coming out with that first sentence

Everybody knows how other teams play…There are enough videos and oppo-game-analysts..!!

Its making sure you show them you know, they know..

Because teams do adapt the way they when they come up against a team with a reputation. It's not saying no one knows or studies opposition teams.

The best teams play "their way" and don't change. I'm not saying we're the best by the way, but I don't think we'll change the way we set up, regardless of the opposition, we'll go into each game looking to dominate possession.

Many on here are worried, and rightly so based on early performances so far, that when we play Leeds, Norwich or Southampton we'll get found out, but that fact is they could adapt their systems completely (as we did on every occasion that we played a Man City or a Liverpool) because we arrive with a reputation of playing "our" way. Sometimes it works, often it doesn't. But it leaves us in the unknown as to how those games might go. We're looking at Leeds, for example, and the way they play against Cardiff or Ipswich and assuming they'll set up the same way against us and turn us over. We, the fans, have a lack of faith and patience in this style and we're already assuming it won't be good enough against better opposition because they've looked better than us against different teams than we've looked against the teams we've played.

OK, sorry my apologies. Nonetheless, I stand by my point, as I've heard booing during games at the KP this season.

I wasn’t able to monitor the game yesterday, but having seen the goals this morning it looks like Casadei’s run into the box took a defender with him and then gave McAteer space. Outstanding 👏🏻 and this minor details are what Enzo ball is all about. Compare that to last season’s Rodgers ball when no one was making forward runs half the time and we were like statues.

Their right back absolutely dominated him today. I've liked what I've seen from Mavididi, but I thought he was really poor today. Still think he'll prove a decent signing.

Their right back was only 19, on loan from Wolves

Our intent was no different to any of the other games, however I felt that a few players were just a couple of % short in their decision making and the quality of our end product in the final third was off if yesterday. For me other than McAteer, who also was wasteful at times, the front 5 were generally poor, making bad decisions or wasteful when in good positions, that changed once Casadei came on and we seemed to regain some composure in the final 3rd. Once our front 5 click we will be truly frightening.

I think our work rate and intent was first class just broke down too many times due to individual errors.

Don’t know if anyone else watched it but I watched the game yesterday with the Rotherham commentary and the co commentator (think it was John Breckin) was many pound notes obsessed beyond Dyche levels! Every time 1 of our players had the ball it would be 25m Iheanacho to 10m Mavididi to 10m Winks… after they bagged it was look at the face of 25m Iheanacho as he’s taking kick off… finished off the game with 250m Leicester city scrape past little Rotherham lol the guy was relentless

Yes, I watched it with that commentary😂. Funnily enough he said “ £25m Iheanacho is replaced by Jamie Vardy” conveniently didn’t mention Vardys £1m price tag!

Can’t have it both ways mate 😂

He is marked for life, the old saying "mud sticks".

Carrying on from my last post about the whopper on co coms for Rotherham he also said how massive Vestergaard would be for our season and if he stayed our chances of going straight back up would be much higher

Ndidi did very little, amazed if he starts next game, him and KDH together are too much. Half the reason other teams get chances, both can't pass, dread to think what it would be like if Ricardo and winks got injured

KDH was getting a right lagging off in the match thread but reading the Rotherham board they mention how brilliant he was (other than constantly complaining to the ref). Different perspectives.

He really didn’t help himself either, a few times especially second half he had him beat and then cut back to have another go!

Yeah I listened to that too :D

I had no problem with it.

The gap in finances and uneven playing field is something we’ve experienced in the PL, so I fully understand their frustrations.

Despite this, I thought they did well in spells and maybe deserved a draw overall.

Fair play to these kind of sides giving us a good game though. With the obvious differences in budgets we're probably seen as a bit of a free hit for these sides yet they've only come undone by a late goal. It's admirable and shows the importance of working hard and as a team
