Am I right in thinking we still have 5 Senior Goalkeepers in our squad?! Hermansen, Stolarczyk, Iversen, Ward and Smithies (is he still with us?). Crazy! And an Assistant Manager (who might be still registered), who played for Southampton last season.

Im shocked no one came in for Iversen but ward and smithies is just a few of the bad choices we made.

Reminds me of when we had about 27 left backs under Martin Allen, the nostalgia of it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy doesn’t it

Not forgetting Hossein Kaebi with his interpretor pitch side at right back.

Loving what Enzo is trying to create at the Club, but has anyone ever asked at press conferences why he puts two keepers on the bench, or is that a 'no go' area?

(Yes I know it's supposed to be a message to club boards about signing players, but I thought this new regime was above silly gestures like that!)

It is a complete mess. I wonder how much the two that will not make the Squad are being paid?  We are a laughing stock of a Club.

It was asked but he answered in a strange way and it wasn’t pushed back on.

the assumption is that it’s either a message to the board or to the outfield players not included or the goalkeeper not included.

The goalkeeper situation is a tangible sign that the club has backed Maresca with his philosophy. If we’d had a Dean Smith type in charge, Iversen, Ward and Smithies would have sufficed as our keepers (there’s an argument to say Ward isn’t sufficiently good enough in this division too), Hermansen wouldn’t have signed and Stolarczyk would have gone out on loan. The last two keepers are the only ones that can play this style of football! I quite like Iversen, but in no way is he suitable.

It's a joke that Ward and Iversen are still here to be honest.

Shows how ****ing shite they are. So pleased Enzo pushed for a competent keeper.

To be fair we need…

- one for the league

- one for the league cup

- one for the fa cup

- one for training

- one for the end of season “thunder and lightening trophy” tour match in Thailand

The "Monsoon Cup" does have a certain ring to it

Harsh on Smithies. He is what he was designed to be, an older, cheap 3rd choice in the same way people like Carson end up at Man City.

He isn’t the problem, Ward is problem one and Iverson has become the other problem by virtue of the fact that Enzo has decided he either can’t or doesn’t want to even work with him.

"Technical decision" is all he says, and it's very unclear as to what that means.

I have a theory based on nothing that Ward is actually a good personality to have in the changing room, and that's why he's being included in the matchday squad.

It's the only thing I can think of that makes sense.

Otherwise, if you're that worried about 2 keepers getting injured in one game, you just get Choudhury some extra Keeper training sessions. (Only half joking there...)

I thought it was right backs we accumulated under Allen? James Chambers et al.

Might as well retrain one or 2 of them, ball boys maybe?

There's an element of stopping a moving ball with your hands. Ward wouldn't cut it
