When all this speculation first broke I thought it was a joke but it really seems that it could be true. Sick of being asset stripped by the vile Chelsea. Not sure it is a great gig for Enzo at all. Yeah, he'll get paid loads but he's unlikely to win anything given the competition and he won't be given more than 5 minutes to build a team. Money could be tighter at Chelsea going forward as well, given that they have made a million signings over the last 2 years and put them all on 9 year contracts. If he is going, I hope it's all sorted quickly and that the club surprise us all and actually has someone lined up to replace him very soon.

For a club like us, being asset stripped by someone like Chelsea is like winning the lottery, they overpay for pretty average players. They get the odd bargain, but that's because we have release clauses in our contracts, that's our own fault.

It's down to us as a club to always have the next Kante, Drinkwater, Chillwell, Fofana or Enzo ready and waiting to sign.

We should already be looking at replacements for players like KDH, Mads and Fatawu, all of these could be off within the next 12/24 months, hopefully for big money.

Be interesting to see what he becomes on here should he leave.

Will he become a Chilwell or Fofana type hate figure or will we see him become a Kanté or Drinkwater loved type?

On my part he'll be between the 2, although like the above players, a lot depends on HOW he leaves but if he does it in a dignified way (As expected) then fine, but I won't forgive him for jumping ship on us but I will understand why.

I really don't know why people have decided that Enzo has asked to leave or is looking to force a move away? Whilst this is possible all we have at the moment is the normal media circus.

There is something we can say with certainty. Enzo won't hang around because there's good evidence he was lied by the clubs hierarchy on one occasion. The level of trust is burnt and he has no confidence that it will change. So first decent interest potentially sees him off or pushing for a new contract on fair wedge.

I know he has links at Chelsea but I can't believe anyone at Chelsea watched our defensive shape at Stamford Bridge this season and I thought that's the man we want as our next manager. That wasn't personnel - that was at times a complete car crash of positioning your deepest midfielder, exposing your centre halves and getting caught out of position.

That's not me being overtly critical - he's a manager learning on the spot and repeatedly throughout this season he showed his inexperience. In the process showing that he needs longer lower down the food chain. He's nowhere near Big 6 club level.

For what it's worth, if you take a step outside of our Leicester City bubble and go and look through Chelsea social media and the Chelsea itks, nearly all of the talk is about Kieran Mckenna.

The consensus is that most of the club want Mckenna and it's just Joe Shields, one of their directors of recruitment, advocating for Maresca.

Obviously doesn't mean Enzo isn't still a very realistic prospect for them but it doesn't look like he's their first choice.

McKenna prefers Manchester United, and they have sounded him out. Think he ends up their and Chelsea will then fully focus on Maresca.

He will leave.

He will want to sign KDH.

We will sell to them for 70 Mill

No points deduction for Leicester

You would imagine that they might look at more than 1 game where a Championship side came to their ground and had a go. This forum sometimes!

Points deduction is for a previous offence, not the current situation.

Points deduction will be for breach in the 3 year period ending with our relegation unfortunately.

I'm sure if we clear our accounts by end of June we can escape it

I could be wrong but that's what a lot of pundits have been stating

No. That's a potential additional, new potential breach, we could avoid, if we sell say KDH before June 30th, not the breach we are currently battling with (which we will have a points deduction imposed for)

I’d like to hear how ?
maybe you can contact de Marco rather than tip off the PL with our strategy

We've been charged for breaching between 2020-23. Nothing we do from now until the end of June will affect that.

You're thinking of the potential new charge, which we can indeed avoid if we generate enough funds before 30 June. However that will have no impact of the current charge.

Are you suggesting he'd stay if we had money to spend?

possibly, but it was more to do with the fact he may have felt lied to. Chelsea’s issues with their owners are well documented. Taking that job does not come without risks - but at least  he’s going into that job with his eyes wide open..

Even if he doesn´t go he will be "dead man walking" at Leicester. So if not now then surely when another "better and bigger" opportunity arises. He has signalled his intent so start preparing the manager change....

Doesn't seem to have affected Vincent Kampany much!

im more worried about him taking Fatawu! KDH will likely be gone anyway..

I believe there’s two separate offenses going on? 1 of course is the 3 year breach and the second possible offense is the breach for our single season in the championship. With the second one I reckon we have 2 options- try and sell a couple of players to make sure we don’t get a points deduction if we are relegated and start off on a bad footing back in the champ. The second option is to just say “ buggrit!” Don’t sell our best players and hope we don’t get relegated again.

Seems mad to me, such large clubs gambling on recently promoted managers untested at the top level. There are plenty of top coaches with European experience. Surprised nobody going in for the likes of Amorim, for example.

Such experienced managers would not accept the level of interference from board room level we are starting to see.

Everything points to Enzo being an option for Chelsea, with McKenna the lead choice. Seems they're interviewing loads of options rather than how we're reading into it

Maybe read the whole post where I litterally state I could be wrong.
