Referee is absolutely woeful. Standard Anfield officiating.

We're fortunate to be ahead but we've played some nice stuff as well - Maresca impresses me more by the game.

I keep saying it, but Maresca with a newly promoted Leicester side (🤞) and a Premier League budget to continue building the side in his own image is a mouthwatering prospect.

Mate, he's got the worst job of everyone on the pitch. He needs to receive the ball, hold it and lay it off all while being dragged and pulled at by two 6'5 CBs

The least he can do is control it. The way the ball bounces off him is an embarrassment.

Only joined half way through the half and the commentator would have you believe we are hanging on for dear life. Not from what I've seen, defended pretty well although obviously making it hard for ourselves at times.

There are bits to Yunus I like,  but he just doesn't have the pace at this level. (Admittedly I know he played a role in the goal but I haven't seen it)

Yeah, the bias is incredible, doesn't bother me one bit though. Let them kid themselves, we're defending well and, after the season we've had so far, I'm not really nervous and won't be until they get desperate and bring on someone of a higher calibre than Gakpo.

I'm going to jinx him into having a blinder of a second half and scoring, but that Dork wearing 50 for them is proper bobbins. Tete levels of failing to beat a man.

We're fine. The only time we properly rode our luck was the crossbar tap and Coady's clearance. Apart from that they've been reduced to potshots. Meanwhile we're looking dangerous every time we break.

Nacho needs hooking for Vards or Daka though, dunno what's going on with him these past few weeks but he's well off it.

I've just seen the score and caught the last 5 minutes of the half, and I don't want to read up and find out how lucky we've been....

I think we've been pretty good. Never going to be anything other than under the cosh at Anfield, but the boys have defended well. We've caught them on the break a few times but none of the commentators seem to have picked up on this.

We have been lucky, but the lads are working hard

Sounds like we're very much riding our luck and not taking care of the ball.

That being said we are playing against a Liverpool side containing Elliot Jota Gakpo Konate etc, I expected to be 2 down at least.

Mcateer continues to impress... just seems to know exactly where he needs to be, intelligent runs

Souttar seems a bit off the pace, as does Cesare again unfortunately.. Kelechi, well... just give Daka a run out if we can afford the apparent 5m.

I’m not Hamza’s biggest fan but how the duck did he get a yellow for that tackle clearly won  the ball

Because we are playing Liverpool, your not allow to tackle them.

Great game to watch. We are totally riding our luck, but the difference between pre-season and now is incredible. This may not be their strongest team, but it's not our strongest team either.

Give this side the whole season and when we're back in the Premier League, we will surprise a fair few teams.

Playing through Liverpool's press might seem insane, but the only way to improve is to test yourself against the best!

Definitely one of the stronger sides I've seen Liverpool put out in the cups. There's a lot of talent in that team.

I really hope we can hold onto this. If it gets to 70 minutes and we're still leading I'm going to be so nervous haha.

So if you're gonna screw us Liverpool/ref/both, then do it early!

Souttar has had a really solid half, I'd say

Yunus has been sensational. Souttar colossal (mystery why he never plays) and Hamza class.

I assume he is one of the one who wanted out :dunno:

Hopefully this is the start of a way back in.
