Stewards getting even more ridiculous at the turnstiles, they were making old timers take off their woolly hats to show that they didn’t have anything underneath.

No idea. A straight red?

Contact with a ref, sure - but clapping a poor decision, can't see it happening.

Clapping a poor decision will only get you a yellow… so makes sense in this case. It showed disrespect but it wasn’t violent

With tonight’s ref anything was possible.

Ref was bordering on a My-Mates-The-Ref-Tonight level of performance

Would’ve been funny if someone had started one pre match saying that midget was their mate.

Where is DB11 or whoever he was to back the ref after that disgrace?

Respect the ref? No bloody chance.

Even Sunderland should have had a peno when Faes lost his head.

I’m not saying bring back VAR but was the ref on the piss?

I particularly enjoyed the one where he gave Sunderland a free-kick, they took it about 15 yards further up the pitch, he blew his whistle to make them take it from the correct position, before thinking “**** it” and just let them play on … literally the most ludicrous refereeing performance I’ve seen in a long time, or quite possibly ever tbh!

Disagree. We were off the pace tonight and made it end to end, and you have to give them credit for having a go. But we could have easily scored 5 or 6 despite playing relatively poorly, which tells you all you need to know.

Yes. We were “off the pace”

Just finished watching this had to see it recorded tonight.

Could have been four or five, thought the quality chances were fairly one sided despite how hard they worked. Casadei and Kel in particular really should have bagged.

Happy all in all.

As an aside, there's zero chance we'd be using Daka in such frivolous sub appearances if he had a clause in his deal that said we owed Salzburg more money. Anyone could have stood on the left for five minutes and closed down.

Was a great game to watch. Concerning how many chances Sunderland had. We need to watch that as if we defend like that against Leeds they may take a few of them.

Thought KDH was MOTM. Absolute class.

Big fan of Abdul and the keeper needs to sort his kicking out when under pressure. Must of gave it away about 10 times in the first half.

Coady in for Wout against QPR

Ref was absolute wank.

I thought KDH was average mainly. Again slowed down breaks with his inability to use his right foot. Not arguing, I just didn’t see a MOTM game

The only think they are unlucky about is not to have a couple of goals, but they were fortunate to not concede 6

How were they fortunate? It was great goalkeeping and poor finishing that kept us at bay, in much the same way as they were kept at bay.

Fair play to Sunderland for giving us a very good game. The best of anybody so far I would say. They're going to be 6th at worst.

Referee an absolute joke, have a long standing theory that a bad referee helps the atmosphere though and it certainly did tonight. Stroud is totally inept though. No idea how he gets a gig at this level.

We'll break the record. We're by a mile the best side this league has had.

So overall we deserved the win, even 95% of Sunderland fans can see that. If we were perfect well guess we would be 3 points better off

slightly tired period and concentration lapses at the end almost let them back in it but then we got it together. just shows you've got to bury your chances to ensure safety.
