I actually disagree with this. I think he’s going to be exactly what we need in division1. It’s different gravy down there.. teams are going to try and kick us off the park and out muscle is and we are going to need people who can give it back. Forget about skill and technical ability, the forwards are big lumps, the defenders have more teeth than IQ and if we think we are going to be able to play our way out of the division, we are going to be mistaken. We will have to out muscle, out work and out tackle the opposition. Those might be his only skills, but that’s exactly what we need in division1

It'll be interesting to find out which of us is right I suppose. I actually think of we let ourselves get drawn into being entirely focused on physicality (though we may need some additional steel, granted) then that would be a trap. We need to be a level above the division, in the way tunchev, mark Davies, Andy king, Matty fryatt were all those years ago.

He won't even be here next season.

If you think he's this terrible human who drinks loads and hates us all then I don't think him saying "I'll stay" outside the ground to a bunch of Lidl shoppers in jogging bottoms is exactly waterproof.

He does work incredibly hard at hiding behind opposition players when we're in possession to be fair. Can't be easy making sure you are literally never in a position to receive the ball from a teammate or do anything useful with it.

Consistently shit on and off the pitch for years - the perfect captain for us.

You can't talk about hiding behind anything. You're called guest.

I know they're not exactly Brazil, but the Bangladeshi fanclub's fawning of Hamza as their talisman, the peak of Football in their nation, is incredibly funny at times like this. And yes, he's playing before anyone asks. lol

Only behind Ayew as the player I was most despondent to see starting/subbed on this season. Plus given his wages I’d imagine it’ll take a very low offer for us to sell him.

However if he is here, he has aggression and a decent turn of pace, which are attributes we’ll need next season. You’d hope the drop in quality will excuse his limited technical ability and he could do a decent job as a CDM if we are stuck with him. For the record I hope that’s not the case mind!

This is the same cope that we all repeated last season.  Do you think he will play any differently? Slow at the back, passing sideways and backwards at every opportunity? At least there will be no VAR again so he might get lucky with his fouls and pull backs, like Thomas.

These clowns won’t play any differently than they did last season.

im not saying he will play differently im saying the division we are in will be different and more suited to him.

leave the skill to the wingers and AM.  They’ll do the creating. But what they don’t do is be the ones who get stuck in
