Who do you think is the best striker at the club? :scarf:

I think its the one area in the team, no one has really owned or flourished!

On current form, probably Daka.

Historically, obviously Vardy. Both Iheanacho and Daka have a lot of work to do to prove consistency under Maresca. Daka has shown more effort in the last three games than Iheanacho has shown for a while so I'd have him as first choice.

atm I'd say Daka; presses from the front like Vardy used to do(age has caught up sadly)

can be frustrating at times him not shooting first time but cant fault how hes done in the league games hes played for us this season

Kel is a different sort of forward imo

Cannon, too early to tell, id like him to start Saturday tbf

Not convinced by any. Another position we need to strengthen if we go up.

Though it is harsh to include Cannon this early into his career here.

Not a simple question, and for the season  we will need all of them to play their part. If we had one chance to win the league, I’d still want that chance to fall to Vardy and I’d still back him to score.

Given Enzo’s style of play, I think Daka is best suited to the the team, and him alongside Mavididi and Fatawu could be devastating at this level.
Not seen enough of Cannon to make a judgement, but January could be his time to shine.

Daka on current form but Cannon is potentially better but not seen enough of him.

Vardy was scoring before his injury.

To write off the GOAT because he has an injury just now seems a bit premature.

As a fanbase we don't celebrate our legends unfortunately. We continually write them off and disrespect them.

Harry Kane will no doubt get a statue outside Spurs ground after a winning a grand total of **** all whereas we'll be sending Vardy off to the knackers yard

Glover, Weller, Worthington, Walsh, Izzet, most of the 2015/16 squad and especially the GOAT are all held in high esteem by the vast majority of fans.

Is there anyone that doesn't think Vardy is the GOAT?

Is it really disresoecting him to admit that time may have finally caught up with him?

There are a couple who have been OTT in calling the current Vardy 'shit' but those comments surely standout because they're so rare.

Down to the club to erect statues not the fans.

The club don't celebrate our legends but the fans do.

Criticism on an internet forum doesn't mean the fanbase doesn't love Vardy anymore.

Winning trophies means nothing either. Some of our greatest players won fvck all.

I've gone Daka on form. Can't believe this is the area we are weakest in though...

I think Vardy still has something to give this season but has found it a bit tough going. I've given up on Nacho. No opinion so far on Cannon

Well winning trophies does help, there's a number of players from 2015/16 who are legends but wouldn't be on that list had we not won the League.

Similarly Tielemans for me is a legend due to his winning FA Cup goal.

Between Daka, Nacho and Vardy they have 13 goals in 22 games when they don't play on the pitch at the same time. So collectively their minutes combined is that of one regular number 9. None of which have had a proper run of starts without a rest, so lacking the consistent game time

Not too shabby when you compare that to szmodics and Armstrong who've practically played the whole season.

On current form and how the team seem to play with him, Daka is probably the better at the moment. I'd still play a fit Vardy in the bigger games though for the experience  even if it's just for 45 minutes

I wouldn't sign a striker in January. I feel none of th4 current crop will hit the ground running in the premier league (sorry Vardy, just the legs seem to be gone) so we will need someone in during th4 summer. I don't see who we could get in January that we wouldn't need to replace come the summer anyway, other than a 6 month loan

They do help but it doesn't define a player.

You mentioned Worthington, yet I don't think he won anything here did he? Same with Weller.

Steve Claridge scored two of our most important goals but nobody ever mentions him when they should do.

Anyway, not to derail the thread any more.

I’m not not convinced, I just think signing someone who is more adept at being clinical would wrap up the season. But I also don’t believe it’s that critical if we’re creating goals throughout the team.

TLDR: sign 2-3 more slices of quality, send Casadei home.
