Would be amazed if that's true. We need JJ to keep an eye on Wes Burns

It raised my eyebrows too. Seems an unnecessary change.

Oh we're promoted

Not yet we're not, remember, we've 'qualified for the Champions league' before too.

We can't get complacent only half way through the season, so much can happen.

I went to the pub in time for a 3:45 kick-off.

I'm sure I read somewhere that it was scheduled for that time.

Had to go home and wait for 4 hours in limbo before I walk back to the pub. lol

Win win :scarf::beer:

Would be concerned by that. Coady doesn’t impress me at all.

Thing is, coady keeps being put in one of the outside CB positions, his best position would be in the centre. I don’t understand the point of bringing him in to play on either side, makes no sense.

Haven’t looked forward to a game as much since the Roma semi second leg

I didn't even watch that game, a European semi final, and that result felt so inevitable after what I seen in the first leg. It was at that point I realised, I wanted a new manager. A painful 12 months ensued. We aren’t out the woods yet, I remember how optimistic I felt before the 4-0 Liverpool battering when we were flying high. Its hard to know what Ipswich are after that Leeds result, I do think they will be far better than that at home.

Agree with this - will do no good to be exposed and he will be in that position. He’s a good player in the right position but versatile he isn’t much.

Coady is coming in for JJ supposedly as the only change.

Don't fancy that tbh. I thought JJ was a banker to play as they brought him off early on Saturday and brought Souttar on.

The only way JJ could/should be dropped is if Hamza is in at the back for his recovery pace.

Need to deal with those long balls up to Hirst. Not been overly impressed with our ability to deal with long balls this season and today will be a real test

Hmm, long ball to Vestergaard

Leeds is always going to be a tough place to visit, I think they will be up for it tonight and will look to try and beat us.

I am expecting a good game, 3-2 to us.

I have a theory.  You knew what time the kick off was but your partner didn't so a few cheeky pints and pretend you got it wrong....would try it myself but my Mrs always knows the kick off times :appl:

It’s because Vesty can’t be moved away from that central position. His passing ability is far superior to Coady…. Coady appears to be a great leader, but he appears to be the weaker of the defenders.

I understand that, I’m just saying I’m not sure Coady should be playing in an outside CB position. Back up to Janick fine, but I think he really struggles on the outside and looks worse because of it. I’m not saying janick should be dropped.

Regarding JJ, he is the player that drops out when we play multiple times a week. My theory is that is being done to keep him injury free. I think this has been mentioned a few times on the official LCFC stream.

Even so - and I think that’s true as a policy - he surely had to start today? Then take Friday off?
