I just hope we have managed to get a couple in before those involved depart to the tournaments.

What positions do you imagine we will bring in then?

On a serious note, even without Ndidi, those number 8 positions are vital and need further depth. A lot of the good interplay I think comes from the 8’s breaking forward and linking with the wingers. Ndidi and Fatawu have been particularly good. I’d say that’s the main one generally and for AFCON cover. I understand the concern about strikers but we have 4 on the books so it won’t happen. Unless we could shift Kel before.

 

Alternative, more keepers so we can indeed, have #benchofkeepers

Hopefully the players that will are two of Ward, Iversen or Smithies. 
 

Souttar if he can find someone that wants to pay for a player missing for the first two weeks of Feb. I don’t think Iheanacho or Ndidi will leave realistically in January. If any of the players going do, it’ll be in deadline day to minimise the wages etc.

Yea saw that yesterday that it's 27

 

What's more disappointing is it almost certainly means he goes and probably still won't play much

 

Main concern is them all coming back fit now

Former Fox Ahmed Musa was trending on Twitter earlier, quite a few people annoyed he has been included - barely playing at club level and hardly been involved with the national team for a couple of years now

 

Also for whatever reason Nigeria are only taking 25 players when they can take 27

 

Hopefully they bomb quickly

I rarely agree with you but it'd be better for everyone if one of the bottom half Prem strugglers made us an offer. His head's not been with it for a couple of months tbf. His first touch is now non-existent and he's not been near a goal for a long time. Thanks for 2021, cheerio.
