A joy to see the back of him like it was his mate lazyboy Tielemans. The guy that won us our only FA Cup, you mean? 13

Glad his wages are off the boards but frustrated that he's ran down a clearly way-too-lucrative contract. Money out the door. I like how he's frustrated at the lack of football. Just not so frustrated that he'll compromise his income a bit. Italian clubs are hardly going to pay him peanuts. Which is it that's important, Dennis? Football or mega, mega bucks? You say this but it seems pretty evident he was happy to go but we weren't happy with the money offered. He can't go if we won't sell. 2

He scored the winning goal but the team won the cup including Schmeichel if you remember. One game and an admittedly excellent goal doesn't define his entire tenure with us. Along with Rodgers, one of the main protagonists to get us relegated which had big implications. 1

Tielemans was an exceptionally good player and played a huge part in our top 6 finishes and FA Cup win. If the club really went for it around that time and sanctioned the signing of 2 more players of that quality, we would definitely have finished in the CL places in at least one of those seasons. The fact that they didn't would definitely have had an effect on his mindset, his willingness to sign another contract and indeed his work ethic in that last season. I agree with the sentence in bold, but that doesn't mean we should ignore the fact of how close his involvement actually got us to breaking the big 6 mould. 8

To be fair the club did go for it financially but Rodgers wasted 70m + and a load of wages on Faes, Soumare, Daka, Vestergaard and Bertrand. 8
CosbehFox Posted 9 May 2024 Posted 9 May 2024 5 years and just 81 league appearances sums it up really 2
Sankey93 Posted 9 May 2024 Posted 9 May 2024 I liked Dennis but it just didn’t work out unfortunately! 2
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 10 May 2024 Posted 10 May 2024 He never got a run in the side, but also seemed to have a lot of injuries which restricted availability. To this day I’m not entirely sure what his best position is.
Clever Fox Posted 12 May 2024 Posted 12 May 2024 He was talented but not strong enough for the Premier league.
KFS Posted 13 May 2024 Posted 13 May 2024 He’ll go on to have a completely average end to his career 1

CrazyKopCorner Posted 26 May 2024 Posted 26 May 2024 Appeared to have a severe lack of commitment for a few years to me. When he was really called on he was feeble - that performance at Fulham was the last strew for me - atrocious Pleased to see the back of him and was part of the lack of effort exhibited by certain players when we went down
Notting your mums forest Posted 26 May 2024 Posted 26 May 2024 Dennis Praet thanks for your time representing our shirt. His commitment can never be questioned and he clearly gave it his all. Although, I think we all know his heart lay elsewhere and he wanted to move back to Serie A 3yrs ago. That assist vs Brentford in the FA Cup was magnificent and clearly represents the climax of his Foxes career. The rest was an absolute disappointment and very underwhelming. Clearly a very talented footballer, but just a little too lightweight for the English game. Praet goes with my best wishes, but this chat on Foxes Talk needs closing now. He’s no LCFC legend. In summary, Dennis Praet was a talented and technical player but just wasn’t good enough for us. End of. Both parties move on. At £80k per week, a real waste of money over a very low key 5yr spell. 1
