ARM1968 Posted 11 February 2024 Posted 11 February 2024 Some proper hyperbole on display here. I’ll take 2-0 and walk away.
jv1 Posted 11 February 2024 Posted 11 February 2024 Tougher game than most think - they are a handful - comfortably worth their point at home - very decent at set plays - no room for an average display like yesterday- bang at it and we will have to much - off it 30% and they will cause us problems 1

No chance. He'd want to score, but no way he goads their fans. He is one of their fans.

Sheff Utd I can only remember good results against so had a quick look and 8 wins and 2 draws in our last 10 meetings with them going back to 2008! But yeah Wednesday is a lot worse, 5 defeats, 4 wins and a draw in the last 10 meetings. Yeah fair point about United. Though there was a time when it seemed like we always lost to them. And I think the win in 2011 was the first at Bramall Lane in decades. Edited 11 February 2024 by bovril
Mickyblueeyes Posted 11 February 2024 Posted 11 February 2024 It’s the stage of the season where a win is all that matters. Who is going to blink first out of the 3 runners.

HighPeakFox Posted 11 February 2024 Posted 11 February 2024 Every game has an element of jeopardy about it, this one is no different.
Noahfence Posted 11 February 2024 Posted 11 February 2024 They’re actually not “ too bad” under their new manager but I think we’ll end up having too much.
fuchsntf Posted 11 February 2024 Posted 11 February 2024 (edited) For the neutral.. it’s been good to see Huddersfield,Sh.Wednesday,QPR, still come out fighting and taking points..The last 2 mentioned drifted away on points ,now finding it hard to close that gap..but they’re having a go.Though the terriers are slowly turning it more around in their favour… All 3 will have their say in that fight& spirit needed to try and be 1-2 of them that might survive… Rotherham on lack of pts have gone, though will also take pts off the teams twitching to try and drive further their own achievements. LinekersLugs Posted 11 February 2024 Posted 11 February 2024 Funny feeling they will put 11 behind the ball and drop off … and hope to basically frustrate us for 90 mins need to go hard and early at them

Dan Posted 11 February 2024 Posted 11 February 2024 2/3-0 I think. Can see the atmosphere thread getting a bump or two after this. 1

STEVIE B Posted 11 February 2024 Posted 11 February 2024 (edited) Personally I'm enjoying the type of football we're trying to play & hope it continues. Does anyone think, it's just about getting the points now, however we get them, even if we go more direct. I know when at home, most sides have a low block, meaning more patience is required. I often think our set up is perfect for our away trips. Edited 11 February 2024 by STEVIE B

Last sentence only, just for clarity Different strokes for different folks... I go for patience and control, working my way across the back, retreating and advancing, advancing and retreating, then I attack like lightning when she's out of position.* * To clarify, this is not an actual description of my technique, which actually involves a lot of fumbling and clumsiness, but is at least mercifully brief. 2

ALC Fox Posted 11 February 2024 Posted 11 February 2024 Hopefully a more comfortable game than the weekend. Really want to see what Alves can do with a good half an hour running at already shattered and beaten defences. 1

Gazza M Posted 11 February 2024 Posted 11 February 2024 I predict 2-1 up and scrapping to get the win and our loyal happy clappers scurrying back to the car on the 85th minute leaving the capacity at 15,000 for the 6 mins of added on time.
Pita Posted 11 February 2024 Posted 11 February 2024 I think 2-1 we are just not putting away some teams
jonthefox Posted 11 February 2024 Posted 11 February 2024 Taking an American and his German wife to see this. It’s their first ever English game, so it’s guaranteed to be a boring 0-0 . Sorry.
