Remember queueing to get my ST back in 2014 through the night, he turned up with some fold out chairs for the ladies in the late hours out of the blue.

At some future point, that's going to be an interesting read for the morticians

Yeah, I stood with him in a ticket queue once and he was telling us stories of Millwall away with all his tattoos. He had some brilliant stories, full of top banter.

Wow, he looks and sounds completely different. A very admirable man and someone to look up to based on that video

He looks great, and sounds like he has overcome some challenges along the way.  Good for him.

One of the nicest blokes you could meet.

The whole " jobber" legacy has actually been a big negative in his life which he has tried to live upto but it wasn't really the real Lee Jobber.

Great bloke

Yes I remember chatting with him on a trip to Arsenal on a Tuesday night about 10 years ago. A very unassuming guy and probably had difficulties living up to his image when all he’s ever been is a top man.

I bet your wife/husband/partner was pissed off about that. ;)

Just spoken to him and he said he is very keen to get his full story out there as Radio Leicester didn't broadcast any of the more gory details (addiction and suicide) of his story. I didn't realise he was in such a bad way and in such a dark place. His story needs to be heard as it could help just one person. @Ric Flair worth a podcast?

Get him on here, perhaps - especially the Depression thread (which is non-judgemental, plus supportive users on here who participated in the thread)?

I admit to joining in with the chants at him from the away section when Wolves won 4-1 last game of the season in Nigel Worthington's last game (I think). Can't remember the year.

We were all doing Mexican waves celebrating, and we asked him to start the wave. But we called him fatty as well. Sorry Lee.

Just a bump on this thread as I feel it worthwhile.

Lee is currently Running a men’s mental health group called “Modern Men movement”

that can be found on Facebook and instagram.

The group takes place every Friday at New parks community Hub on st Oswalds road in new parks Leicester and it starts at 6pm until 8:30.

I have been attending for over 6 months and the men I’ve seen walk through that door broken that have managed to completely turn their lives around in the space of weeks in some instances is astounding.

Anyone that feels that they need an ear to listen to them or wants to listen to others stories to see if that helps them overcome obstacles please feel free to message me for more information if needed.

But Lee is in a brilliant place now compared to 3 years ago and is getting better and better each week that passes.

It’s odd that we used to glorify Lee’s image back in the day, but he’s an inspiring man and the fact he’s turned it around like he has is inspiring. There’ll be a lot us out there suffering in silence (me currently) and stories like Lee’s motivate a lot.
