absolutely ridiculous how he is currently playing- mom for me against west ham- not quite as good as that yesterday but still did a lot of really really good things and drove us last 20 mins as well- I actually cannot believe its the same bloke but im all in for giving credit when its due and hammering someone when they are consistently below the level- so as of now he is showing he is a damn good prem midfielder - im not sure where thats come from but it has and we should be waxing lyrical about the lad at the minute- if ruud is playing a part in that and his confidence then its a great thing for us - Ruud will absolutely 100% be looking at him with fresh eyes and wanting him signed up for longer- he absolutely looks like every penny of a £30m quid premier league midfielder at the minute- can he sustain that form- who knows- but if he does it goes a long way to keeping us up

Absolutely and it also helps if you have a manager that plays you in a way that brings out your best attributes. He's not a defensive midfielder or an attacking midfielder, he plays best in between the two ie where his best stats were when he played in the Lique 1 winning side in France. Sometimes it's not rocket science. You wouldn't play RVN on the wing or at centre half would you? That's precisely the equivalent of what Rodgers and certain others tried ie fit into the system as opposed to play to your strengths.

Any coincidence in Soumare having his best games for us with Coady at CB? Conor has his weaknesses but he's definitely a communicator

Connor wasn't there when he won the title with his team in France. They just utilised him effectively.

I don’t see the love in for him. He has one good run per match this season and everyone is lauding him.

To me he still seems lazy, causes our press to fail, offers nothing defensively and is a poor passer. I’ve not seen anything to convince me otherwise

Take the wins where you can get them.

Feels quite entrenched, as he is never (Like, ever) going to be a gut busting fast marauding player, but in his recent performances he has been strong, progressive and generally a benefit to the team with winning the ball back, seeing the passes, getting back to break up attacks, all of which is a significant improvement on his previous outings! Maybe the expectations have become so low that I am expecting to little, so any improvement is nigh on mind blowing, but even if so, it has been an improvement!

Agree, but maybe part of utilising him is having a big voice behind him. Lille had Jose Fonte that season who would have been a similar voice.

In short, there's never been doubting Boubas technical skill, but maybe it's between the ears that he struggles with and just needs that constant instruction.

In fairness I do think that Vestergaard and Coady have added a bit of calmness and professionalism to the defence, particularly compared to Faes who has been rash and inconsistent. Being vocal in the right place by the right person is also a big help. Bearing in mind that neither had been playing, let alone together, I think it shows a lot of promise. I'd also think when necessary, it would currently be better to play Okoli ahead of Faes too.

For the size of the guy he's a pussyhole and lacks aggression. Softer then a pillow, sort that side of his game and we've got a player.

Did you not see players bouncing off him at Ipswich and against Brighton? He's a unit, and with confidence will come the ability to stamp his authority in the midfield.

I thought he was one of our better players today and that ain’t saying much and that was only because him and Vardy look half arsed, the rest useless, couldn’t pass for toffee
