Which is exactly what they should be doing. We do make a mockery of the system, signing players for over the odds, paying them more wages than they'd tend to earn elsewhere and then fail to sell them when they're crap or running their contracts down. 6 9

Pliskin Posted 23 June 2024 Posted 23 June 2024 The way around it, is every club collectively agree to breach together. The whole lot would just face plant then surely. 2
Wymsey Posted 23 June 2024 Posted 23 June 2024 (edited) When is the decision date? Can see Man City being deducted around 10-15 points, themselves. Edited 23 June 2024 by Wymsey 3
Ian Nacho Posted 23 June 2024 Posted 23 June 2024 We should 100% be speaking to Forest to do the same thing as Everton, Villa and Chelsea. 3

Les-TA-Jon Posted 24 June 2024 Posted 24 June 2024 are waiting until June 30th / July 1st to officially become a PL team, for the PL to give us our charges? Given the stuff earlier on in the season with the EFL / PL and the fact that our breaches apply to 22/23 season, surely the PL already know what our charges are?

You know as much as I do about this, which is nothing. Clearly it was tongue in cheek but the bottom line is we will breach for the period ending 30th June so that is more charges and potentially by the EFL if we go down, who will throw the book at us. Other teams are finding creative ways to get around this, all our rivals, but there appears to be nothing going on from Leicester. Based on Rudkin being in charge whilst getting to this mess, it is not “Rudkin Washing” to assume he does not have the skillset to get us back on track. I appreciate he is one man but he is the DOF and gets paid a pretty penny to do that role, we need someone who can make things happen not just cruise along and hope for the best. I know nothing about what Rudkin or the rest of the unknowable's do outside of what is publicly reported, but as much as I feel our DoF has oversight for financial matters, that there should be acknowledgement of a key fact. Specifically that if I am going to apportion some blame toward him for our wrongs, I must also acknowledge he has played some part in our successes. Will confess that it was a bit silly to suggest a conspiracy, it was more a nod towards the lack of acknowledgement of the one sided nature of the accusations. 1

We have been referred to the Independent Commission for an alleged breach of Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSRs) and for failing to submit their audited financial accounts to the League. So we have already been charged. Premier League statement The next thing we will hear is the commission dates and the verdict. Edited 24 June 2024 by coolhandfox 1
fazzyfox Posted 24 June 2024 Posted 24 June 2024 (edited) One question that could be asked by investigators (if there are such things in this blind-eyed farce) - it's one thing fudging that a 2 million pound player is worth 20 million but what wages are they going to be paid, those of a typical 2 million pound player at that club or those of a 20 million pound player at that club? If it's the lower end of the scale then that puts the fee into contradiction with the salary, yes clubs can choose what to pay or overpay and can choose what salary to offer of course but exhibit A, "you rate this player at 20 million yet you're not going to be paying him the typical salary of such a player" would be evidence of what we all know is going on here. FrankieADZ Posted 25 June 2024 Posted 25 June 2024 do wonder with this whole FFP/PSR stuff, everton signing players and i thought they had another charge that was very close too

ClaphamFox Posted 25 June 2024 Author Posted 25 June 2024 Five days before the end of June and it's still eerily quiet on rumours of player sales to avoid another PSR charge. Does the club believe we are compliant for 2021-24 or are we so far in breach it's not even worth bothering trying to comply?

I know Top enjoys a trip to the casino, but that would be a bit of a gamble, wouldn't it? What if Man City loses its case and the PL decides to crack down even harder from now on?
