How are you surprised?

Haven't you seen the amount of bans people got from tweets or posts? That's before you look at the other reasons people are getting banned

To answer you, no I haven't seen the amount of bans from tweets or posts. I was thinking more down the line of issues at games as not seen a single LCFC fan being escorted out.

 

I have a mate who is serving a ban but that was for the Forest away trouble in the town centre.

Couple of points on the data

 

These are FBO's issued via the CPS rather than club enforced stadium bans - these are not necessarily new FBOs either - rather FBOs which are in force. So we've had an increase of 20. 

 

This is typical the Sun standard journalism though - these figures were released November last year. They've needed to source a story so released it today!

Self fulfilled prophecy. People get banned for sneezing, the club declare the banning numbers and appear top of the list. The club feels that the bans are justified because we're at the top of the list and keep banning people for anything and everything.

It's not bans by the club, it's legally enforced bans.

I think they leave unescorted now, usually from 80 minutes onwards

I do not think this counts internal club bans, appears to be counting football banning orders, which I thought could only be imposed by authorities. Suspect this story has been released to farm clicks given the barrage of morning media around hooligans being banned from going to Germany this summer.

Yes that's what I thought too. And a release today will coincide with all the press around 'don't go to Germany if you're a hooligan!!' Easy clicks - of which I am now one...

I guess this is both club enforced bans and FBOs. There's still no defined list of what sanction comes from doing what, so they can just slap you with whatever they fancy.

A couple of seasons ago there was but then it was taken down from the website and now appears like you said to be almost a wheel of fortune style spin to see your punishment.

It was something the FSA where unhappy about in my case with them.

Yea I agree but alot has to do with how local police and prosecutors respond to incidents.

I can assure you Leicestershire police are up there with biggest cock wombles when it comes to policing football fans.
