I would never give anyone else my card should I not be able to make a game. I would ensure to add it to the resale thing. That being said how can you transfer mobile tickets?

Apart from the superlative BSLB podcast, have any other of the fan made media things, like YouTube channels and other podcasts, websites etc, posted their opinion on recent relations between the club and fans, obviously including this loyalty tax. Or are they all happy clappers, waiting for the new shirt release and for a selfie with a player?

It’s so wrong to strong arm people into this. I get a move to digital, I get how powerful and beneficial the data can be to the club and for fans but this should be phased out over a season or two.

They should also be explaining why, how this benefits the fans and the club and if the charge is not for profit (as we are told) where that money is going?

The fact they think whipping down our trousers and spanking our arses will go unnoticed is crazy.

It seems everything at the club is very reactive rather than anything being thought out and planned. Our comms should be 100% transparent but it’s absolutely non existent. Premier league on the pitch and still very league one off it at times.

When it comes to fans you literally need to spell out the reasons to us. If you’ve nothing to hide there should be zero issues.

I would guess a commercial partner has signed up for something and we have promised them data as part of that deal. Most commercial deals are left to the last minute and this to me stinks of that.

New sponsors on it.

I hadn’t even taken notice of the sponsors on card. Had to get card out and have a look this week when they cited this as the reason for a new card. Obviously their subtle marketing doesn’t work on me 😂😂

I'm surprised at all the comments from people saying you can't share a digital season ticket, from what I understand it's much easier to share with someone else than the actual card, you don't need to meet in person like you do with the card, at least plenty of people were doing this this season

Is that always going to be the case. Are we not currently using a 'weaker/older' form of technology, I'm not familiar with the versions but I understand there's a more sophisticated option they have which prevents you transferring.

I bow to the more knowledgeable folk on here.

find the QR code for the game in your wallet  and screen grab it then send it someone.
they then use the slot for QR code at turnstile  instead  of contactless entry.

Isn’t there a version of the digital ticket where the technology  only sends it to your phone when you get within the immediate area of the stadium on match day ?

If so I imagine we will be moving to that version in the not too distant future - along with no option to buy a physical card

Yeah Liverpool use it. I think maybe Arsenal too.

Yes I'm not sure either, I just remember posts from people who said it is definitely easier to share digital tickets, whether that will change though I don't know

I’ve been using digital tickets all season. Personally, they’re ok and get you into the stadium. But they’re a little annoying and definitely less convenient to use than a card. As I go with my 2 boys and I have their tickets on my phone also, getting through the turnstiles can be a little frantic, but essentially it’s do-able. However, I much prefer the cards.

The queues at the start of the season (and cup games) were horrendous before every match. I just think it is new technology and it takes people a while to get used to.

For those thinking of taking a screen shot of the QR codes and sending to friends & family, I’m not so sure this works? The technology requires facial recognition on your phone i believe before it activates the turnstile. So a screenshot just causes a backlog in the turnstiles when they can’t enter, which further creates knock on effects of longer waits in the queue prior to the game.

However, I’d love to be proved wrong and that screenshots of a match ticket actually work? This would make it an easy fix to give your ticket to friends and family if you can’t attend for whatever reason.

Anyone here in the know about NFC if you could DM me with the way to transfer a ticket to another please (I imagine it's not just the QR code screenshot way?)

It does work. You just put your phone into the reader at the bottom (yes the phone fits in easily ) with the QR code at the top of your screen.

I think we should put whatever pressure on the club we can over the next month, just for clarity 5th June is the last date you can choose one way or the other?  Probably go card, BUT V Unhappy with the £25.

The fans give A LOT to the club in so many ways, THE owners & club management are TEMPORARY CUSTODIANS, give something back to fans (like choice where possible) as well as their great generosity to the local community.

It won't hurt and OBVIOUSLY it looks, based on the feedback, like it would generate MASSIVE goodwill & support.
