Every ticket I've purchased in the last couple of years (off the top of my head - train, England matches at Wembley and in Dublin, concert tickets, flights, airport lounges  etc etc) have all been e tickets.

personally I would prefer a card, but it's not a deal breaker (for me). Certainly won't be paying for one.

I'm a pensioner with a smart phone but I have a season card because I can't use my phones data in the stadium. I get a full signal but an exclamation mark next to it. Other phones worked in the past but not my last two. Irks me when I see others watching the match on their phones. I suspect there is some sort of blocking by the club. If they want me to use my phone for ticketing they could at least provide a decent phone signal or WiFi.

It doesn't use your phone signal or data to be fair.

The opposition to mobile ticketing blows my mind.

If the club really appreciated how many moaners we have, they’d have done away with physical tickets entirely and offered print at home as an option (do they already?).

Not renewing, therefore no longer an issue for me, gonna spend my cash elsewhere.

Really... can understand if people can't afford to pay it , thats cool as its a struggle for us this week but packing in supporting the club because of £25 is a little plastic

If you can’t vote with your feet, how else to you say I’m not having it, I’m a season ticket holder of 20 years plus but won’t be renewing, football has gone too corporate for me and I don’t want to watch live sport that has VAR, the £25 charge was enough for me to think ill let someone else have a season ticket and I’ll probably go watch non league football for my live football fix and watch Leicester on my dodgy box.

Good to see the FSA and Kieran Maguire getting this further airing

What have they said?

Resharing it with their own comments about the club not listening to the fans.

If there’s one way of getting at this current set up at LCFC, it’s public perspective

Pretty spot on, get a good bit of bad press out there and watch them back track

Thanks. Good that the genuine annoyance of fans here is spreading to outside the club. Scrutiny is now coming.

I switched to digital for this season. It hasn't been an issue bar once, when I turned up for the game loaded up my wallet only to find no season ticket present! Then I was in panic mode as I try and get it back, where I needed to walk right away from the stadium to get a data connection, login to the lcfc website and re-download my ticket. Needless to say I nearly missed the start but got in just in time.

Not sure what happens if the tech fails then how do you get in? I would have been peeved if turned away and probably against it forever more if that were the case.

I do like the resale platform, I get the 1/23rd of my ticket refunded so the club probably aren't making masses on the resale.  But another face present is another potential club shopper, and more purchases from the concourse. So from that perspective, they probably do make something from it.

When digital works it works well.  Was just a case of once adding the season ticket to my wallet from link in email, then a few days before the relevant game, that game ticket was present, no interaction by me required at all. Simple unlock of phone and tap on the reader and in I was, just like that

I can understand problems for none phone users, oaps and kids. I believe many kids don't have a wallet, so can't tap in easily. Therefore when I was with younger kids I had all kids tickets on my phone and tap them in one by one, which is a pain and not easy in a narrow lane. At least the club have listened regarding kids and giving free st cards to u17s on request.  Those with special needs should be exempt from paying too....

I sent an email reminding the club of their commitments on Fan Engagement. Now that we have been promoted they are hoping to be ready for their 2023 commitments by the start of next season.

Thank you for your email. We appreciate your comments on the subject, we will pass them on.

The club have been working hard behind the scenes to make sure we are ready with the Fan Engagement Standard (FES), the Fan Engagement Plan (FEB), and the Fan Advisory Board (FAB), in time for the new season starting.

Kind Regards

The club have admitted it’s nothing to do with the money, they don’t want anyone having the physical season ticket anymore. I don’t even think they will give the option for the 26/26 season

They’ll have to give an option because some of the older generation don’t have smart phone and if it’s not about the money hand them out for free then!

So they’ve just come out and said the charge still stands but they’re donating it lol. How does that appease fans it’s still £25 from them wherever it goes. Joke really

What are you voting against?

£25 to charity?

they are emailing for feedback now , just showing the club dont get us or football. garbage about anti soc behavior aka trouble makers  , simple answer get stewards of which there are loads to eject em and ban the card holder. so in other words just behave and enjoy match . stop making something easy a drama.

And this is the exact response the club were after

We are the club, they simply run it But we are the club

I think the fan groups did a great job getting some consessions on this

I can't abandon my club over a £25 charity donation , The club is run by idiots, but it's our club and ny club needs me next year

But I have no problem with true fans being afforded the opportunity to get their hands on a ST, so it all works out fine in the end

What concessions?
