Can’t imagine they would pay much for him

But what I expect would probably be at most a bottom half Championship side is now probably about right for him unfortunately

Doesn't his contract expire next month?

One for the released list I'd imagine so there would be no fee involved.

What a fall from grace. Crazy how solid he was when he came in and that he was good going forward, with a brilliant delivery. Not seen any of that for so long. Fresh start needed for him

Luke Thomas has been a forgotten man at the King Power Stadium, and looks to be on the move when his contract expires this summer

Correct, doesn't appear that we will get a fee for him unfortunately.

Feels like he hit his full potential at 17. Seen almost no growth from the lad since he came in. Still think he can forge himself a career as a steady full back in the 2nd tier. This seems like a good move.

We'll renew it and then sell him, we have an option on him I believe. He's still under 23 as well.

Given the absurdity of the contracts handed out when he renewed, I'd imagine he's on a decent wedge.

He's a bottom half Championship level player at best, and I can't see any of those teams paying a fee and matching his bonkers LCFC golden handshake. We just wouldn't be able to shift him and it'd be just another mouth to feed at the Seagrave lunch buffet.

Would make more sense for both parties to just cut our losses and get rid.

We've been renewing Hamza's contract under the same pretense for what feels like an eternity lol

Ian is a really good bloke, worked with him for a year or so, might be just the right character to get the best out of Luke.

It's a shame how bad he actually is. He looks a poorer player today than four years ago.

Contract Has an option to further extend by a year supposedly.

Surely one just to let go rather than do what we did with Hamza, can’t see him being anything other than a Championship player so recon we just cut our loses to reduce the wage bill.

Hope he does well there, seems a nice lad and I think he'll carve out a decent career for himself. Needs to get over his fear of wingers, though.

What keeping a young player in a poor team as opposed to loaning him out to a good team does to a mf.

He should have gone out on loan years ago. He'd be a proper asset to the club and worth a lot had he had experience as a youngster in the same way the likes of Barnes, Chilwell and KDH did.

He desperately needs to go to a team that are going to play him as LWB in a back 3/5 system, he’s never looked comfortable in a 4.

From having Salah in his pocket, and being one of our best players in the 1st half of the 21/22 season to this, it's sad.

The whole having Salah in his pocket was a ridiculous thing though wasn't it. We played a back 10 that game and Salah had limited space and 2 or 3 players to contend with regularly.

It was a fine team defensive display but that wasn't down to Thomas doing a Kaamark style man marking job.

When he scored that volley away at Man Utd in the Covid season, and the game he had vs Liverpool at home (can’t remember the season), I thought we have a serious player here.

Shame to see a local lad fall from the top like he has. But after his comments about wanting to join Sheff Utd at the start of last season, and how ‘desperate he was to get away’, I can’t say I’ll miss him much.

Would be a good move for him even if they don’t go up through the playoffs. Needs a fresh start, and bar a couple of performances, he’s never stood out to me as an academy player likely to kick on here. Should’ve got a loan move a season or two back for me.
