Oh all our centerbacks that can't defend, why would Martin go for the one that also can't pass?

I'd have thought Vestegaard would be better suited.

Would be wonderful if we could move him on, book value of £2.5m, personally don’t think we will get much more but if we can break even and they cover all his wages than makes a lot of sense.

Because, like the man himself, he talks a good game.

They'd probably tell us to bogof though unfortunately.

Absolutely fantastic this is, if it comes off. Cannot stand the guy. Massive brown noser, always been an all mouth no action player.. will be the first player in the new managers office everytime we sign someone agreeing with everything he hears. Genuinely rather keep Vesty over Coady.. although in an ideal world they both go

Will probably do well in Scotland, it’s like playing league 2 football. His level.

Dream scenario would be the club finally getting rid of Coady, Vestergaard and Faes.

I think we're probably stuck with Vesty, but it would be good to get shot of the other two.

You'd imagine he'd happily walk to Glasgow if they really are interested in him. It'll be a pathetic transfer fee, though you'd imagine.

Going to Norwich. Missed the boat due to how bloated we are in that position and the fact our owner and DoF haven’t started thinking about next season yet.

As long as the fee covers what is left to pay on him which is about £2.5 mill plus his wages off the books. That will do.

Point is, we can't do this with every player - otherwise there's no money for replacements.

No we can’t. But getting wages down is the important thing. In certain cases, breaking even and getting wages off is fine. The alternative is they leave for free anyway and we have paid that years wages so what’s better?

Far too much given he was signed after relegation. What were we thinking!

As I say, a profit on all players would be ideal. However, given how many have walked for free, just getting wages off a year early or a small profit in some cases, is probably necessary for certain players to allow us to move to on.

The flipside of this coin is that if Russell  Martin had become our manager, then Connor Coady would have been a nailed on starter
