No-one in their right mind is paying more than £2m and matching his £70k a week wages.

Well we put him on those wages and paid a lot more! But appreciate the sentiment. Although thought Rangers were linked with a higher fee a few weeks back?

Value is irrelevant really - freeing up wages is more important. Especially if we are keeping Vestergaard.

My understanding is that if you sell  someone for less than their book value that it’s a negative on PSR calculation - breaking even would be ideal

Really?

£2m and ride off on your horse with your mask intact

I agree but thought higher fees had been touted previously. Either way, be delighted to get him off the books, even ahead of our other overpaid prima donna centre backs.

It is, but also consider the benefit of getting his wages off the books.

if I’m right, we would lose £500k on his transfer but save around £2m on his wages.

 That includes depreciation ?

Just absolute lunacy if that's true. For that sort of money they should be at worst midtable PL players.

It's just insane we sign this sort of stuff off.

Yes but the cartel and PSR have held us back!

I’m taking the view the 7.5m deal has been amortised across his 3 year deal at 2.5m a year.

Taking wages into account, we’d break even on the year if we sold for £500k, but there is obviously the cost of any replacement to consider.

I think if we can push Wrexham up to £2.5m, it’s a no brainer. I’d sell at £2m

Wrexham make bid for Leicester's Coady

Latest from Sky Sports News' Anthony Joseph:

Wrexham have made a £2m bid for Leicester centre-back Conor Coady.

It’s understood the 32-year-old would be open to exploring a move to the Championship club, if a deal can be agreed.

Sky Sports News revealed last month that Rangers had made an approach for the England international.

Coady has one year left on his Leicester contract.

While I do love a good PSR chat, transfer values do also reflect what a player is worth and reducing the wage bill is a real saving,

Would be delighted with £2m and him gone. We massively overpaid for him - both transfer value and wages.

Ben Nelson? Okoli? No need for a replacement, we'll be fine. Some might argue better off. Nelson will be an absolutely fine replacement and would prefer him anyway.

Just think how reduced our wage bill will be.

I'm happy to accept £2m offer and him off our books. Plays against us then Monga tearing him up.

He gets his media attention he so obviously craves and they have a 'big' signing to announce. We get him off our books and one less player in Nelsons way as well.

All good from me.

They'll be called Leicester City B team soon!

if we're not paying any wages to him to make up the difference then take the £2m and start working on getting rid of the plank and sideshow Bob

We would still have Okoli, Nelson, Vestergaard, Faes, Souttar and Aluko which is frankly still too many.

I've been told he's definitely off and it ought to be done quite quickly.

Thank you thank you
