The only reason she is there is because we live in a woke pathetic world take me back 20 years

It is a bit odd how many women are now pundits in the men's game, surely there any plenty of ex pros that could fill that position.

But yes its agenda that's been pushed on us so nothing you can do.

Runner up in this group plays runner up in the France / Netherlands group. Winner plays a 3rd place team. Big difference in reward up for grabs for the group winner you'd feel.

Slovakia have a good chance of winning the group now, could do well

Lukaku definitely offside for the first disallowed goal, referee got it right for the handball as well. I would say that I have Slovakia in the sweepstake.

Its a breakthrough apparently on the way to women only commentary and pundit teams.

Yeah I think she's shit but not for those reason. Peter Walton is garbage too.

I sort of agree in that they rarely tell you anything you couldn't work out on your own, but in this case with it being a major tournament on terrestrial TV you have to imagine there are going to be people watching who will genuinely have no idea what's going on. Plus as you can see it upsets proper football blokes which in itself makes it a worthwhile endeavour I think.

Yep.

"No blacks, no women, no Irish" in the beautiful game, the way it used to be, right?

(Well, maybe that last one is apparently acceptable.)

Great game though! Had it all.

Took just a few days for the first VAR nonsense.

Hopefully busts the usual myth about it working well everywhere outside of the Premier League.

In this tournament it is working good for offsides, even tight decisions are getting sorted much quicker

And hopefully it might cause a little more clarity on the handball rule, too.

Fair comment on the explanation point

Who said anything about blacks?? Women especially American women who don't even take football seriously should not be telling us rules about the game the only reason she does is because we live in a woke world

Well, I'm paraphrasing a rather old phrase, but a bit more than twenty years ago the two sentiments did go hand in hand. Monkey chants and bananas.

Perhaps progress, in football as in life, isn't such a bad thing.

As they have a system which works well that the PL refused to use .

Well, that and her being a qualified referee.

I've come to the conclusion this is all about jealous. Jealous that a woman has more knowledge about football than you do.

The problem with VAR is very clear. It was brought in to help the ref with ‘clear and obvious’ errors.

Surprise, surprise… it’s already become used for every goal that gets scored. Nothing to do with clear and obvious.

It’s simply more of the quest to make absolutely everything about info tech.
Genuinely, it’ll be used before long, for every aspect of the game and football matches will look very different.

I say again, as football is ultimately about scoring goals, when the joy, shock, excitement is around goals being scored, how the Hell can anything that results in less goals being scored, be a good thing.
And for a bloke who likes a flutter on goals being scored, it’s a nemesis

Yeah it is clear to be that the handball decision isn’t clear and obvious. They need to stop using it wrong

It's always been used to check every goal?
