The sad fact is, I cheered that goal more than I cheered anything we’ve scored this season

Sunderland had their Deeney moment.

Somehow pulled it out of the bag from nowhere.

Another classic play-off moment.

I did think Coventry were the better side.but actually seemed to settle for a 1-0 win and penalties.

Disappointed for Cov, but those were some impressive scenes after the Ballard goal.

Play offs deliver some iconic moments!

Gotta fancy Blades to absolutely tea bag Sunderland with the extra quality they have.

30 mins extra time.  2 mins added on.

Ball headed in 31 mins 59 secs.  Good timing!

I actually forgot this was happening tonight. Watched Eurovision instead. :sweating:

Anyway I'm late so can I just say

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

See you next year Cov. :trumpet:

And to think we have some people on here who think we will get relegated from the championship next season...

The standard is appalling. It used to be that there were several players in the championship who you felt could cut it in the premier league. Genuinely can't think of any standout players from sides who haven't been promoted.

The "quality" that saw them turned over by Oxford, Plymouth and Millwall (among others) towards the end of the regular season?

Both sides have looked shattered in recent weeks.

The outcome at Wembley will depend on whichever one turns up on the day.

To be fair, I can see Manor Solomon doing well if Leeds make the transfer permanent, but I do agree that it's slim pickings.

If the three relegated clubs are even vaguely competent next season, we'll all be in and around the play-off mix at a minimum. Which get promoted will probably come down to finer margins.

Sunderland  are a proper "sleeping giant"

Rather them than Sheff U struggle as usual in the Prem.

Atleast they will have a couple of ding dong battles with the Geordies

A mad, but overall poor, game. Cov were the better team for the majority of the game, should have been way ahead and then all of a sudden Sunderland found some energy to go at them in extra time

Love seeing that "Football Awaydays" page losing its head as well. Neutral, my arse.

Big cov fan isnt he? Think someone said he lives either in Hinckley or Earl Shilton

Just circling back to commentator debate... i've had a bit of a mare, it's Daniel Mann who I like, I will say I thought Gary Weaver did a good job of letting the atmosphere do the talking last night though.

Phew, this has been troubling me since last night 😁

Mann is decent.

Listen back to the Full time whistle last night though, Weaver rambles incessantly at the expense of letting the atmosphere do the talking.
