Ward-Prowse to Forest

Missed a trick. I know we're stacked but this is a guy that can create from deep and has a fantastic set piece

League One teams bidding £10m and our options are a homophobic donkey and a player who’s Achilles heel is their Achilles heel. Awesome!

That’s a very late move by Ipswich - can’t imagine Boro really want to entertain this.

Might be the reason they were reported as having an interest in Cannon.

Either that or just keep selling for ridiculous profit. They haven't really reinvested any of it until this season.

But as we know you are only a couple of bad signings away from it all going wrong.

I reckon they've absolutely nailed this window. They've spent a lot but have spread it out, and spent it on young players (24 the oldest I think so far). They're basically banking on their scouting network and been given leeway as one or two gems out of this group will pay for the rest.

This is why I've been a bit annoyed by us buying older players. The young player conveyor belt is the only way we can get to competing higher up again. Though appreciate it may be easier to do that as a stable PL club.

We've acquired 6 out of 8 players aged 23 or younger. I think that's a fair representation of future planning.

Important things to note here:

Chelsea bought him last summer for €16m.

He only played 25 minutes for their first team.

3 appearances, 0 goals and 0 assists.

He'd be Strasbourg's record signing.

Chelsea's owners also own Strasbourg.

€5m profit after 25 minutes.

I've never been one of these "games gone" folks, but this summers transfer window has absolutely done me in. The Forest/Everton/Villa/Chelsea stuff is awful, it's money laundering plain and simple. And for the most part, it's a load of young home grown players being forced into moves they don't want or need.

I can't wait until someone exposes the whole things and who is beyond it all. No doubt Mr Mendes is having his say and lining his pockets.

Ward Prowse is a good signing for Forest

Take his freekicks away and he is a nothing player. God knows how he's played 11 times for England.

Forest's pursuit of Marmoush is over

Latest from Sky Sports News' Rob Dorsett:

Nottingham Forest's pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush is over.

The two clubs had been discussing a possible £20m deal, rising to £25m, but Forest have walked away from the negotiations, and are now looking at other striker options .

Southampton needed a top class goalkeeper - They've signed one

Ipswich needed upgrades across the squad - They've got them

Forest needed defensive and midfield improvements - They've got them

We needed a number 9 - We've got rid of 2 and one is injured....

Agreed. Basically a cone with a set-piece delivery.

Runs like an OAP into a heavy wind.

Chelsea have a good 20+ players that they can't register.

I can see plenty of late bids for loaning their players at reduced wage demands coming tonight.

I agree, but we need a striker. I'm not sure who'll be there later tonight. Sounds like Broja and DDF are off elsewhere.

Free kicks that we are crying out for.

How is this even allowed surely it's against the rules ..

Chelsea seem to just be money laundering at this point

Sky say Chelsea have made an official offer for Sancho .

Probably one of many !

Absolutely bonkers, who’d have thought anyone could have made Abramovich look like a measured and sensible owner.
