As a 10 the options have been Ramsey, Reid and Ayew. Ramseys injured and Ayews Ayew. So people will put him in.

Every bloody manager is trying to play a style. That style includes a 10. When match day threads are on and people are picking a team, they are going to pick the team and style whichever manager is there is going to pick. Come on.

You don't have to play a 10. Especially when it's proven week after week after week not to work. 

 

Most supporters are quick to call out Faes or Vestergaard or Hamza or Daka or Soumare. Yet inexplicably, seem (relatively) content with this lad. He isn't professional level. He's cooked. He's a virus. Ive rarely seen worse represent us. Only Ward and Thomas are worse in recent years. He just cannot compete at this level of football - it's all too fast, too strong for his frail frame.

No one is saying you have to play a 10. People are putting him in a 10 because the man in charge (whoever that may be) is playing one. He’s the only one who can play that role. 
 

BCDR is a joke on this forum. Had a purple patch but if he left tomorrow (alongside many others) people would shrug and move on (enter Jeremy Clarkson/top gear meme).

For the record, I don't particular rate him.. But people selecting him in injury hit team does not equate to "most of this board love this lad to death.."

Fans aren’t picking the side though are they!

 

When people are putting who they think the side will be, there’s going to be the mindset of putting players based on what they know the manager is going to go for set up wise. That doesn’t mean the system/formation is the right one. We could all post on here 3-5-2 every pre-match thread but doesn’t mean it’s going to happen.

 

On BDR, as others have said. Lack of options. Back in December he was at least contributing some goals which would have been getting him picked in people’s teams. Nothing now. Like you, I am very much not bothered for him to be out for a few games as he won’t be missed.

Still our third-highest goalscorer this season, alongside Ayew.

One assist in 24 games for us (Transfermarkt credits him with two assists, the second one being for the West Brom own goal last September).

 

Which says it all. He has little to no impact, and when he shows up in the stats, it's because others are doing the hard work for him.

 

I can recall maybe two, three great games of him, the rest he's just been on the pitch.

 

Underwhelming comes to mind. Which you could equally say about pretty much 80 to 90 percent of this squad.

Reckless challenge which wasn't needed. The ball was heading out anyway. Red might have been a bit harsh, but we've seen them given. He shouldn't have committed to such a reckless challenge when there was such little danger.

 

Hopefully this gives opportunity for someone else in that 10 position, or a change of system.

Absolutely agree, the ball was like 99% over the line, so why bloody make sure and wipe out their player at risk of any card 🟨🟥

It’s not a red

Player was going nowhere

It’s a stupid decision to attempt a tackle 

How we have the most number of reds cards in the championship, when we fold like an umbrella in a mild wind most of the time is pathetic. 
 

It’s not dissimilar to Ramsey earlier this season against Oxford, which also wasn’t a red card.
