We can't afford that. I watch him closely every time he plays, as he's become some kind of para-nemesis for me.

He does kinda press. But in the way kids might press me in the back garden. You can see it coming a mile off. You just switch feet, shift body weight and he's out. In every sense, he chases shadows.

I know exactly what you mean. It’s the sort of press you do in mid week training session with your team/ mates to show you’re willing, also to improve your own fitness but when you get near your mate you don go in 100% because of risk of injury to him or yourself.

I thought that too. Even the Comms hinted at that

Of a piece with the ludicrous two-footed-lunge-for-no-reason that got him sent off.

Sort of thing you might just overlook in a much better player, but with him it's recently been his only noticeable 'contribution'

First thing that came to mind for his yellow was also "bloke has a bet on". Maybe he should bet on scoring a goal or not being useless, then he might put in a good shift.

He's really useless isn't he. Can't understand how on earth he played at PL level for so many years.

I had this idea in mind he was some sort of marauding tricky winger but he's basically Rachid Ghezzal without the technical ability.

He's an insult to any right footballing person's intelligence

He drifts, he points, he vaguely presses and the opposition brush past him

No coach or manager who selects him can be respected. A total and complete waste of space. His selection is unjustifiable, unless sabotage is the aim

Lost possession more times tonight than ayew which is quite some achievement…

Ayew barely lost the ball 90% success rate.I'm not a fan but let's not make up facts to suit  an agenda

Bobby socks looks exactly how I'd look on the pitch in a championship game

Knows what to do, but 5 seconds behind everyone else and everybody is just too quick and strong and clever. Gets away with the odd flick but apart from that, just absent. He just isn't there.

Fcking useless

He's been okay tonight I thought, worked hard.

Mate, I'm a nutter and watch the lad all game. Like a laser. Following him. Because I detest him representing us (not detest him personally of course, as a player..I'm sure he's a nice lad in real life)...and I'm telling you he does absolutely fcking nothing. Every single fcking game..

If you want, I'll buy a pair of those meta glasses so you can follow my eyes watching him all game and you'll see then, he's fcking useless. A complete waste of space. He'll (unintentionally) relegate us like Ward did.

Fair play mate. I watched on a stream that wasn't the most reliable and probably saw 75% of the game at most .... And most of that not focused on BDCR.

The bits I saw of him he looked like he was at least attempting to press and he did look like he linked up play well effectively at times in the first half.

Having said that I need no encouragement to agree he's the pits and on his wage he is a poison.

I always like to look through the comments in mid-December when I revisit this thread. It just shows how reactionary we are sometimes to brief upticks in form.

BDCR is what he is. A very average player and, considering we signed him in the Premier League, an incredibly poor signing

It was more in relation to previous performances than specifically tonight
