foxfanazer Posted 17 July 2024 Posted 17 July 2024 (edited) Never go full spurs! Edited 17 July 2024 by foxfanazer 1 1
brookfox Posted 17 July 2024 Posted 17 July 2024 With Ndidi resigning and Winks not sure we need another defensive minded midfielder. Skipp has played 77 Prem games with 1 goal and no assists. I’m sure he’s a tidy player but we need to get some goals into the team to replace KDH. 3
ceebeefox Posted 17 July 2024 Posted 17 July 2024 Would be a great signing, like many home grown players, never given a chance. That’s if he was home grown? But good enough for our midfield. 2
FoxinNotts Posted 17 July 2024 Posted 17 July 2024 We have four options for the 'deeper lying' central midfield position, Ndidi, Winks, Soumare and Choudhury. I don't think this position is priority tbh 3 1

Assuming we keep everyone, I would happily bin off Soumare I wouldn’t be surprised if the club choose to loan out Braybrooke as well

I don't think this position is priority tbh Ndidi and Choudhury wouldn't be the best playmakers on the pitch in a match against the Craggy Island All Priests Over 75s 5-a-side team. And we don't even know if Bouba Soumare will even get registered in the squad. If Cooper has any interest in keeping Winks in his 23/24 role, we don't have anyone that can back him up really. 4 3
cc_star Posted 17 July 2024 Posted 17 July 2024 Winks, Ndidi, Soumare, Baybrooke & Skipp Can't see it, maybe we could progress it if Soumare is lined up for a sale, but we've struggled to get rid before, last thing we need is still to be paying half his wages while his contract winds down
westernpark Posted 17 July 2024 Posted 17 July 2024 Our first signing from Welwyn Garden City, wow. 2
Torten Posted 17 July 2024 Posted 17 July 2024 I wouldn't be against this if we can get him for a decent price. Very much in the Winks mould, made over 20 Prem appearances last year in a team that finished in Europe. Also has room to improve given his age. 2
Popular Post teblin Posted 17 July 2024 Popular Post Posted 17 July 2024 Saw a meme about his name sounding like someone from Birmingham asking for a prawn cocktail snack. 18
Fox92 Posted 17 July 2024 Posted 17 July 2024 Winks and Skipp in midfield together? We'll never get the ball forward.
Parker Pen Posted 17 July 2024 Posted 17 July 2024 He would be a Sensible signing and a player that Cooper would maybe have coached during his England days? Hopefully pave the way to offload Soumaré. 1
westernpark Posted 17 July 2024 Posted 17 July 2024 I think they’d also demand something in the region of 20million, money can be better spent in other areas. We do need central midfielders but I don’t think Skipp represents value for money.
South Shire Fox Posted 17 July 2024 Posted 17 July 2024 Norwich fans raved about him a few years ago but hes not mobile enough for me so no
AKCJ Posted 17 July 2024 Posted 17 July 2024 Spurs fans love him but don't think he's good enough in the same way they love Winks. I think he'd be a good signing for a low end Premier League/high end Championship side. I just don't think we need him and have more urgent holes to fix in the squad. Namely a striker, bit odd we haven't really been linked to one.
