Dont get me wrong, I think he needs to go. I'm just giving him some credit for what's happened in this half. 

He does yes. He is not the right coach to take this club forwards.

I agree. But...

 

Taking the club forwards this season, is survival. If it doesn't look like he's going to accomplish that, he needs to go then. He won his last game and looks like he's about to pick up at least a point away from home here. 

 

It's not great viewing, it's not exciting, but if he does enough to get us 17th after 38 games with this squad, it's job done.

This squad is capable of achieving more. And the second half here has proven it, when our dangerous players are on the pitch we are a handful. He is consistently getting this wrong, and regardless of today’s result, he will carry on making poor decisions because it’s just in his nature. 
 

If we had a coach who was braver with their tactics, and more competent we would not be having to scrap from 2-0 against shit like Southampton.

I agree with all your points, but as long as we're on course for at least 17th, Cooper will remain. 

 

"we can do better" won't matter to this board, survival is the remit whether the players are capable of more or not.

 

I want someone better too, I hate this style and think he's made a lot of players worse. I was merely pointing out he's changed it to get us 3 points today.
