winteriscoming Posted 19 October 2024 Posted 19 October 2024 Has to start with Fatuwo, Mavidi, Bounatte and Vardy against Forest. My worry is he’ll start Ayew now against them after today. 2
Popular Post DennisNedry Posted 19 October 2024 Popular Post Posted 19 October 2024 If you can't get enjoyment from back to back wins and a 98th minute winner, then you might just need to get a new hobby. 6
whoareyaaa Posted 19 October 2024 Posted 19 October 2024 Massive win for him today, just got to get behind him while we are in the position we are 1

At least Wilf finds himself in the box on occasion. But as in the first half, we struggle to get any rhythm getting up the pitch. Being attacking means we need to be able to get up the pitch in the first place. Fine if he plays AM but I argue we have better attacking players to play there. Also, Southampton doesn’t press us very well. Other teams won’t let us play much. 1
adam95581 Posted 19 October 2024 Posted 19 October 2024 I’m fine with him sticking around if he learns. I missed the first 20mins so can’t comment on that but from midway through the second half onwards we were the better team. My issue is that it’s been the pattern - start defensively-minded, go behind, take the handbrake off and finish with a flurry. He needs to play to our strengths in that we have a great trio of players behind Vardy who can make things happen. Also think Ndidi’s under lapping runs are really underrated.
Bourne Blue& White Posted 19 October 2024 Posted 19 October 2024 (edited) Cooper has got everything under control. 🤯🤯😵😵😵😂👍🦊 Edited 19 October 2024 by Bourne Blue& White
Aleksz Posted 19 October 2024 Posted 19 October 2024 Being bailed out by the players far exceeding expectations, not his own tactics and selections. Not going to argue with some in here, like I said it’ll come out in the wash eventually. 2 1
Gamble92 Posted 19 October 2024 Posted 19 October 2024 Lot of humble pie eating and back tracking. The fans didn't want Wes Morgan, the fans didn't want Martin O'Neill, the fans didn't want Nigel Pearson, the fans didn't want Jamie Vardy! We're doing just fine. And we're gonna go on a roll now. Let's av itttttt 1

Phenom Posted 19 October 2024 Posted 19 October 2024 I don’t know why it takes us to get down to even get going but the results are the results.
dylanlegend Posted 19 October 2024 Posted 19 October 2024 Dont agree with alot of his tactics but have to give him credit for not only bringing Fatuwu on but also bringing him on for a defender. Completely changed the game 1

Suzie the Fox Posted 19 October 2024 Posted 19 October 2024 Buzzzing after that win, however... Stay of execution till Friday. Picked a decent team today (more attacking) and made some good subs, at what seemed to be good times. They made an impact. To come from a 2-0 deficit away from home to go on to win earns him that. Especially as its back to back wins. What he really needs to sort though is the dull lacklustre 1st halves, why is this? It feels like its every game. Hopefully he saw what an impact Fatawu had today and starts him v Forest. Also hope he is a stat man and can see that a damn high % of goals scored against us are on the left and a very easy rememdy would be playing Ricardo. For now, well done Steve! 2
HesNotGudjonsonn2 Posted 19 October 2024 Posted 19 October 2024 Got to say I have been firmly in the Cooper out camp as I simply couldn’t get behind his uninspiring defensive set up and team selection. However, it seems at 60 mins he thought this isn’t working, let’s go with what they did last season and made adjustments. Now, if he starts the Forest game with the set up after 60 mins of this game. I would be willing to give him a second chance as he would show he had learned from his mistakes. 1

It doesn't matter what he does I'm afraid, some fans think he is clueless when he's actually far from it! Barmy statement, laced with hyperbole to make it seem more credible. If we were anywhere near winning 7-0 there wouldn't be an issue and he'd be lauded as a genius. Fact is we look over-run in most games, lacking in ideas and the man keeps our most creative and experienced heads on the bench whilst we struggle to execute his "game plan". We'll all take the wins but he's certainly not endearing himself by doing it the hard way and turning us from a 75% possession to a 25% possession side. 1

Tielemans63 Posted 19 October 2024 Posted 19 October 2024 JJ is an absolute liability. I'm not sure what the beef is between Ricardo and Cooper but Cooper needs to sort it, for the good of the team. 1
lgfualol Posted 19 October 2024 Posted 19 October 2024 Bloke makes heinous decisions but happy with the 2 wins. Hopefully this helps him/the team with confidence going forward..

Let's av itttttt This is all true, and things I've pointed out in the past (especially to those with blue tinted Pearson specs - guy did a lot of good - but he got a lot of stick on here from many at the time too). I really hope by the end of the season people are asking "Why were so many of us asking for his head early on in the campaign?" I strongly feel he does need to tweak his tactics to play to our strengths though. Hoping he'll at least try Mads and Fatawu in a starting line up against Forest now. And I'm yet to be convinced VK and JJ are better options than RP.
