This is exactly where I'm sitting. This needs debating and it needs all heads slapped together to come up with a decent way of implementing it. 

 

I get the arguments against, even when I feel like they are a bit overblown. However, when you see a loved one suffer in agony for weeks for no reason other than someone else's supposed "morality", then they pale into insignificance.

It's one thing if a couple of people in an office, who know each other well saying stupid stuff. I've had some very stupid conversations with mates at work.

Saying it unsolicited to complete strangers is totally unacceptable. You wouldn't say the same things to a customer who'd just walked in, because you know it's not appropriate. 

And, if your wife or sister had a bloke making personal and perverted statements or physically grabbing her in her workplace, I very much doubt you would want it overlooked. 

I'm not picking on you Tom, or suggesting you thought it was acceptable, yours was just the last post.

 

It's just that's it's not 'woke' to speak up about sexual harassment or the 1970's where being a perv in the office is acceptable.

He may have a point, but am not sure if airing his views on the situation on social media quite regularly if a good thing to do; much like what Russell Brand did - leave what you want to say, in your defence, to your lawyers.

I think this just reinforces the fact that Greg has absolutely no idea that his behaviour is unacceptable. It doesn't matter if the complaints were from a middle class, middle aged woman or a twenty year old working class woman. Can’t work Gregg Wallace out as on master chef he seems pretty genuine. However off it he come across as a right weirdo. I had a right argument with him on twitter a few years back as he claimed he ate a 100 calorie cheeseburger (with bun etc) and I argued that that was impossible. He wouldn’t back down.

Never realised just how strange the American system is. Are there any restrictions as to what the outgoing administration can do in those ten weeks? 

 

I guess we should, be thankful that in 2020, trump was completely occupied by trying to overturn the election for those two months. Lord knows what he’d have tried to do if he’d not been distracted by that.   The events of jan 6th were probably quite tame in retrospect!
