Unless they get a big money takeover and a genuinely top drawer managerial appointment, I could see a huge drop-off. Especially if they rebuild Old Trafford before they have a team capable of pushing for honours again, in which case the outcome could be more Everton than Spurs. They wouldn't be the first massive club to suffer a serious decline.
