I was/am one of those who feels that keep it tight, stay in game approach isn't always bad.

Skipp, winks, Wilf keeps any team honest and we can switch it up with Abdul later on in games

Am inclined to agree. Don't dislike Cooper for that approach from the start (at least in some games), what I can't stand is his game management - his reluctance to change things up, his  inappropriate subs and his subbing too late.

wolves and everton will stay up. hopefully palace continue to be shit, along with ipsbitch and southampton

Well Wolves got a massive result in the end to double their points tally.... To 2.

Not sure they will.

The Ipswich game is huge.

Southampton host Everton.

Wolves entertain (!) Palace.

Some of our rivals at the bottom end are coming away with points of some sort, so it's an absolute must we get 3.

look at who they've faced. had a ridiculously tough start

Fair.  They have basically played 9 games and played the current top 9 with the exception of Spurs for Newcastle.

Not sure why people are now convinced Wolves are certs to stay up on the back of one miraculous comeback to get a draw. They've got 1 win and 7 points in their last 19 PL games.

I hate that stat. Basically because the 2nd half of last season we were running a squad of essentially 12-13 players ragged every week without having any reasonable options on the bench to sub or rotate them. It's no wonder we didn't get a win in any of our last 10 games.

Oh right and then losing 100m in sales made it so much better. You’re down !

I have a feeling in a few weeks time we will be looking at a similar table to last year, with the teams who came up starting to be cut adrift. Will be worrying for the league if it happens twice in a row.

Yes our squad is much better this season. We actually have a usable bench for starters. Neto is the only real loss from those sales.

would the manager have been gone if you’d lost today? or does he have a lot of credit in the bank still?

A lot of fans still want him gone and think today would have been the last straw without the comeback. But given the owners gave him a new contract in the summer when they didn't really need to, he was the first choice of the Sporting Director after Lopetegui left, and the matter of our horrendous run of fixtures to start the season, I think he gets until the end of November regardless. Plus until we get to two wins from safety I think he gets plenty of leeway.

Pep doing his normal trick of tickling the balls of a team he's just beat because they rolled over and let them win.

It'd be a different story if Southampton had snatched a point.
