City have looked dreadful since Pep said that he intends to learn from Russell Martin.

It’s almost like some weird film, where the shake of hands at the end of game saw some of Martins shiteness transfer to Pep, and now they have to touch again to break the curse.

Just been thinking. If the 3 promoted always get relegated season after season, does the weaken competition? Make it less exciting? Almost make it a closed league for 17 teams?

Yes. It will keep happening unless something is addressed.

The sooner the greedy big fish bugger of to a European League the better, although that is possibly a different issue.

They're currently trying to renegotiate or even get rid of parachute payments too, as they claim it makes the Championship too skewed and difficult for those teams who haven't been promoted/relegated from the Prem.

In contrast our away end was bouncing at Fulham yesterday with lots of chants/songs, and even singing our old Si Senor song for Raul Jimenez when he went off.

Southampton showing more intent in the first 5 minutes than we showed in 90 minutes yesterday. We never even tried to take 3 points yesterday - it was embarrassing! The table may not show it but our actual quality of play is the weakest in the league! Cooper needs to go (and quickly - wrong thread 🤣)

100%, at least you can see what saints are trying to do and they have started the game like they are trying to win it. There isn’t 3 teams worse than us with Cooper in charge.

Do quite like Southampton's passing style, even if they're struggling.

Similar terrible defending to us, which will be their down fall, but they at least try and take the game to the opposition before they are 2-0 down.

Southampton are truly awful, probably the worst in the leagues history.

If we keep Cooper for the whole of the season, I fancy even Saints will run us close as we are truly awful currently too.

What was our actual game plan yesterday? Don’t press and defend deep? Bar a 5 minute spell late in the first half, we never required Chelsea to get out of 1st gear. It was utterly depressing to watch.
