Man Utd object to a 12pm KO away at Fulham next month. So it’s now been put back to 7pm Sunday.

Not sure how that’s any better but good on them for objecting in the first place.

I get the clubs have sold their soul, took the TV money but clubs need to start putting their foot down.

FSA are concerned about the growing number of PL matches being moved.

Wolves fixtures after Ipswich and us are horrendous (for them)

Man Utd

Tottenham
Forest
Newcastle

Chelsea

Arsenal

Villa
Liverpool

The benefit of that type of run early in the year though is that, if you can stay within touching distance of safety, you know you have a run towards the end of the season where you can put a good run of wins together, especially if you add a new manager in to that and the momentum that can carry.

Extra time off after they play Rangers on the Thursday before.

It's getting even worse now but clubs have sold out unfortunately.

I just don't bother going anymore if it's a ridiculous kick off time. I missed West Ham last week, no chance was I bothering getting in at midnight. But someone else will always go instead, that's the issue too. Not enough people will put their foot down and not go.

He’s well within his right to moan about that imho

When are they supposed to play their league game then? If they had it parked until a future date, he’d then be moaning about fixture congestion later in the season.

Id have more sympathy if they didn’t have 40 odd first teamers in their squad.

Its not just about the squad though, and its very unlikely you should rotate the entire team and many first teamers would have to travel even if they don't start. You have to get coaching staff / medics etc at both games.

They should do what Spurs did and just say fu** it to the Europa and not play.

I must admit I'm inclined to side with you on this one. It's difficult to have sympathy with a team who've probably spent more than any other team in Europe over the past few years and have stockpiled players in their reserve and youth teams

I’m not sure Spurs said **** it, they had to forfeit due to mass illness and were eliminated due to the forfeit 3-0 result?

I don’t know why you could have two completely separate squads for both games. Obviously point granted re support staff etc but they aren’t actually on the pitch playing.

I just looked at our PL fixture following Zorya away in 2020 as that was the further I can remember we went into Eastern Europe and we played Sheffield United away (and won) at 2:15pm on the Sunday. With a much smaller squad.

God, don't remind me of that! Lost 1-0...and just checked the squad, it had Fuchs in there and Under. Why do both of those players feel like two different era's combining? Mind is warping my understanding of our squad then.

Yeah don't quite get the "Use your squad!!!" narrative.... does that mean he also gets to sub himself, coaching staff, support staff etc out too... as they'll have done the journey also lol

Sorry - make myself clear here. Enzo well within his rights to have a moan but they are just going to have to man up and work around it. And i agree, out of any club that can moan Chelsea are the ones who are better prepared to deal with it than anyone. Pretty sure a youth team could do a job for them out there. Maybe they could play the same Casadei that they took away from us because he wasn't getting enough game time.

Obviously not an issue for Chelsea but most other clubs qualifying for Euro Leagues have to increase their squad numbers/value to compete and then run the PSR risk. Sounds exciting to play in Euro competition but can be a serious handicap to maintaining Premier League status, as we found out. Can't imagine the Europa/Conf Leagues are a money spinner.

I guess I just don’t see the point in complaining. These are the clubs that are causing all extra fixtures due to greed. Will they complain about the club World Cup in the US or is it because it’s a third rate competition in the arse end of Kazakhstan?

I mean they could play all European games on Wednesday. I suppose the organisers want it spreading over the days for tv coverage. Could there be a rule that any club playing on Thursday plays on Monday night? Maybe.

You’ll never please them all unless you reduce the premier league to about 12 clubs like in Scotland and bin the domestic cups.

Yep was not a good night lol. It was actually more enjoyable the following season when we ended up in the conference league and had a fun run in that.

Monday night like a lot of other European leagues do would be my thought. Probably better travel wise for all concerned rather than Sunday night when public transport stops early

They have Shamrock Rovers on Thursday next week at home, so good argument that Monday would be okay.

Why the hell are they playing in Kazakhstan?!

This.  For a so-called European Championship, anything east of Istanbul should be off the table and part of an Asian/Middle-east Championship instead...

They should just split Europe. Anything left of Switzerland goes into one pot, anything to the right (as far as Ukraine) goes into the other.

Do that until knock outs
