One thing is for certain, he’s not going to get any better by getting on his back.

Hes obviously paid really well and that’s why he came to us but he’s not going to be actively trying to be shit. As others have said, he’s done it before so there is hope that if we get behind him and he gets the odd goal or assist that we might see the player we must have thought we were getting for that price.

His transfer makes an absolute mockery of the whole transfer system, the amount of money we paid for him and he isn't even worth a third of the price we paid for him.whoever sanctioned this transfer should resign on principal.  Obvhe judged on the price tag we paid for him, when it is our club that should be judged for paying that ×××÷÷÷ amount.

as others have said he looks mentally broken.

I'm willing to give him a second chance, but I'm not sure we can 'play him into form' or not right now

Probably one of the worst value for ability signings in history. 20 million is an absolute rip off for someone who can’t even stand out in the championship.

He's been poor for us so far. And it is a poor value signing. And he has no obvious strengths. But let's not forget he's only had 45 mins for us in the Championship...

Isn't the problem that he couldn't be trusted to do any more than that? lol

Hope he starts in the 6 role tonight, let him play his way into confidence

if we win tonight it will be in spite of him not because of him..

There was a time under Pearson that he used to send Steve Walsh to thoroughly look at potential signings play football. Now it seems that players are bought because someone says something positive about them, example Coady was bought because he was meant to be good in the dressing room and now Skipp was bought because someone said he was great at Norwich 🙄

Yeah for sure not suggesting he'll be a game changer. More allow the lad minutes in the system to get going

Should’ve been dragged at half time again

25/29 passes

1 chance created - 0.04xA

0 dribbles attempted

1 pass into the final third

1/1 accurate long balls

0 tackles attempted

1 block

3 recoveries

0/3 ground duels won

2/2 aerial duels won

0 fouls committed or won

His potential ceiling keeps getting lower every time he plays. Embarrassed by Championship relegation fodder at the weekend, outclassed by League One opposition this time.

Done with him. Rudkin has blood on his hands.

People say this about players and the team, but the toxic positivity of clapping them off every time they get pumped has hardly done us any good has it?

Sometimes a slap in the face wakes you up.

Can only hope the fact he wasn't is a precursor to him being dropped on Saturday, same with Soumare getting the full 90. Makes the Mendy and Ndidi partnership look like Xavi and Iniesta

Fair, but Skipp has been slapped in the face for a year now and it’s not worked.

I remember Puel dragging King and James out from the cold for that cup game against Newport, which we lost as we couldn't control the midfield against (on paper) inferior opposition, and just feeling sad that they were so rusty. It was obvious they weren't up to speed and that their time at the club was over that night.

Skipp is putting in performances like that every week.

What does a confident and in form Skipp with the fans fully backing him even look like for us? He's currently playing at a mid table league one level and we need him to be a top championship midfielder. He would need a significant improvement in performance to even reach mid table championship level let alone where we want to be.

The better solution is probably just to bench him, not even worth the effort to get him into form.

The only tiny thing to cling to is that he has no help playing with Soumare, but that doesn't mean he'll suddenly look better with an actual footballer alongside him.

At this point I'd just bin them both off and find a way to shoehorn Wout in at DMF, assuming he stays.

Hes been in the team of the year in this league, he’s also played at a higher level for spurs and got in ahead of Winks.

He seems terrified and has done since he came here. Which means he doesn’t really suit the role Cifuentes wants him to play him as it means he has a responsibility to make things happen. Seems he’s only played as an 8 to help press, but doesn’t seem to effective at that at the moment either.
